if valve themselves made it back in the day like they'd promise I'd have higher hopes for it, but them having to make it is also why It didnt happen, and I have to admit I'm kinda glad. I never have been too into the whole "deepest lore"of tf2. I like the comedy but I feel like this is a franchise that shouldnt have a deep series lore. I'm not even a fan of the comics now that they started to get more and more serious and freely, not to mention the characters look nothing like themselves in the game which might be a sign these artists are working off of ages of stylization from their own fan stories.

scout is the main character. everyone except sniper and spy gets WAY less screentime, and pyro gets the least. and when he does we usually get about 5 jokes a scene of "ooooh is it a dude or a chick who knows" and no other type of humor. pauling is a lesbian (except unlike that coward "reveal it on twitter and then like some art about it" faggit working on it now, they'd hammer it home and maybe even introduce some shite oc character just for her to mack on.) accents become impossible to understand, except demo who forgets his entire Scottish heritage and doesnt even drink anymore. medic gets made half Jewish just to ease the fear of nazi jokes. all the actual in-game lore like the admin and the brothers gets thrown out I'm favor of episodic gags. mabe bread monster becomes a shite pet sidekick for comedic relief and marketing.
