Please don't delete. I know a lot of people are super tilted about the ending, even though it was obvious it was gonna happen. I'm just curious, why? Why make him so enduring and why put so much character development into him?
also, why give him such a horrible and depressing ending? Why have him basically all but said he was going to commit suicide if something happened. literally everyone has a comedic or good ending (ie. joker has a healthy relationship, Nora ends up with another guy, the worse case was Gordan, who is in exactly the same place as before) but why leave kite-man in such an awful ruined place. heartbroken, alone, and will never do better than Ivy (remmber in universe, he's very looked down on).
I felt super bad for him, I have no idea why I really related to him. I think it's cause I'm a comic artist (ie loving something no one really respects) and have been in a similar position romance wise. thankfully didn't get to the wedding haha I just see this trope so often in shows, the nice guy 3rd wheel getting shafted, but i think Kite man may have been the worse case of it :/ usually, they add some kind of flaw in them to make them unredeemable not more endearing.
Bonus: has a female character ever gotten such a raw deal? Lisa in Scott Pilgrim maybe?
>white guy getting cucked by cartoon lesbians kek take this shit less personal, you absolute retard. comics and cartoons are supposed to be fun, not your identity.
>I'm a comic artist (ie loving something no one really respects) I read your blog post and was going to write a positive reply but now I just think your a fucking CUNT begging for attention. I love comics, I appreciate the people doing them cause most of these people propably don't get rich off it. But you sir, your one of em special kinda attention beggars. Fuck off. PS. Kite-Man dumped Ivy, he's a chad and can find the love he deserves.
Jeremiah Nelson
I was a little surprised at first too. But after processing it I think this was the best possible ending for him. He stood up for himself, he realized that Ivy was a confused woman who denied her own feelings just to maintain the status quo and he realized he deserved better than that. He was the bigger man and saved himself from a loveless marriage.
This wasn't just a happy ending for Harley and Ivy. It was a happy ending for Kite Man too or it will be once he moves on. If you define a character's success or failure solely on whether or not he gets the girl you really need to rethink your priorities
>why give him such a horrible and depressing ending? because that's current Kite-Man's character gimmick see critically acclaimed^TM Batman(R) comics by Eisner Award(C) winner Tom King
Caleb Thompson
oh, not op btw , just curious what ya meant by this. Cause, ya know the theyre right, no one really respects comics the medium. I just didnt see how he was was begging for attention if he didnt put a blog or sumtin out there
Connor Garcia
>comics and cartoons are supposed to be fun Tell that to the wtiters! Zing
Christopher Harris
>If you define a character's success or failure solely on whether or not he gets the girl you really need to rethink your priorities ...But Harley and Ivy both "get the girl" in the end, user.
Samuel Brooks
Key word "solely". Getting the girl is a success, but it's not the only one that matters.
Harley and Ivy are losers, and then dating doesn't change that. They are ALL losers. Kite Man too, but he was much less of a loser here, he was right and stood up for himself, his life isn't over. And you don't need a girl to be worth anything. I feel like we watched two different shows.
Eventually Kite Man will move on with someone new, too. That's life.
Isaac Cox
I quess I'm being harsh, just woke up and everywhere hurting, lashing out. Ignore that OP, some of us here really do love comics and respect the artists. Keep at it.
Dominic Gutierrez
Yes, two garbage fuckers deserve each other. What else is new user?

This show is not worthy of this amount of discussion. The first season was OK, but the second one fell completely apart during its second half.
Oliver Davis
Ahem. FUCK Kiteman. That is all.
Caleb Walker
>tfw these threads and that petition are made by Harlivyfags Why do you fags do this?
Juan Ramirez
Glad I decided not to watch this show. It went down exactly as I expected it to. Imagine willingly watching propaganda.
Jaxon Butler
>horrible and depressing ending? No? Kit-bro recognised Ivy was not as committed to a relationship with him as the both initially thought and grow as a character by tell her that he is not incapable of seeing how their feelings changed.
Kit-bro feels they both deserve better than to be in a miserable relationship and so her decided to move on with his life, perhaps in the future find someone more on his wavelength.
There is a lot of heavy multilayered falseflagging in these threads and I don't understand why would anyone go to these lengths to push some convoluted agenda about a shitty cartoon.
Bentley Johnson
Well, it's true that they're calling him a rapist and asking the producers to remove him because he triggers their rape PTSD. But that's twitter, not the Zig Forums monolith you're fixated about.
Noah Jones
>he founds fun watching people getting cucked by lesbians and offing themselves You deranged filth. I bet you live in CHAZ
Jaxon Phillips
>"he" It's funny, though, because you can post a few twitter posts from the people who like Kiteman which are admittedly funny, but you could make an entire list of entire profiles solely dedicated on seething about his existence even if Harlivy happened (in 5 seconds, but it did).
