Lets be honest, all kinks are rather weird and hard to understand the appeal. Whether or not you want to see my post as ironic is completely your call, not to mention it’s probably slightly better for the clown industry to find them sexy rather than scary.

For me personally, it's all the bright colors and upbeat attitudes (don't really like sad clowns), plus the fact that they're geared to make people smile. They put all their time and effort into their appearance and tomfoolery, just so they can get a laugh or brighten a person's day, and they don't mind making a fool of themselves to do so. The fact that they give so much of themselves to spread happiness fills me with joy, just knowing someone like this exists.
