Wrath of the Spectre

In 1974, after years of being relegated to milquetoast, Comics Code-approved stories and underwhelming guest appearances, the Spectre was brought back as the lead feature of Adventure Comics by Michael Fleisher, Jim Aparo and editor Joe Orlando.

This version of the Spectre dished out horrific, Old Testament vengeance with impunity and disturbed readers with his relentless, eye for an eye morality.

The original ten issues are reprinted here.

I read these the other day in their rather crusty original scans from Adventure Comics, and found out today they exist in much higher quality from this mini

You are welcome!
Will also be including the letters pages that are quite interesting.
The story goes that Joe Orlando was mugged, and the experience made him want to write a hero that truly enacted vengeance, in a tale that mirrors Frank Miller's.
