So this is basically non canon now right? There are far FAR to many contradictions for it to make sense at all

And dont give me that half canon. You either ARE or you're not.

I don't know what this is.

Books are never canon.

I think they call them books

Which Ligtsaber color do you usually pick when you play Jedi Academy, Zig Forums?

Never heard of it. Must be some zoomer shit.

Okay, this unrelated, but what exactly do the words “The #1 New York Times Best Seller” mean? I see the, all sorts of books, even one’s that sell like shit. So, like, is it like those fake quotes mockbusters add to make them seem legit? I’m genuinely curious.

it's not a lie, but becoming a #1 bestseller is easy to manipulate.

I walk through a door to another dimension
And you can too

I read this a couple years ago, but I honestly could not tell you a thing that happened in it. So I guess I don't care that it's not cannon anymore.

E. K. Johnston is very likely one of the worst authors they have got right now.

Canon is an inherently flawed and outdated concept hth

When a franchise/character has HUNDREDS of different authors there stops being an actual canon. There's nothing wrong with "canon" as a concept though.

I like green and blue so I always alternated.

I dual wielded when I could in SW games

Honestly, I'm just on the sidelines watching in glee as Disney completely fucks itself over regarding what is canon and what is not as a karmic punishment for removing EU from continuity.

Old EU had a complex system of carefully estimating what is canon made so that everything can be unambiguously decided to how canon it is, and Disney just threw all of this in the trash. Fucking idiots.

>The Lucasfilm Story Group is a division of Lucasfilm Ltd. founded in 2013 that is responsible for keeping track of Star Wars canon in order to assist writers and directors in the development of new stories.[1] As of May 2017, the group comprises eleven individuals.[2]

These are the only 11 people in the world who could possibly tell you whether it's canon or not. I haven't read it and I don't care one way or the other whether this is down to something being non-canon or down to you being too dumb to understand what you read.

Red, but I've lost my custom saber file and I can't be fucked to redo it with the custom anim sets, so I don't play any more because the base sets are pain to be forced into.

Also it's a shitty platformer that's only really fun when you're going saber-only with full psycho jedi skills.

It's more to do with booksales as a whole than manipulation. Honestly, NYT does do some checking of point of sale data (bulk orders through a single retailer are going to be suspect and may be discounted - there's no obligation to the NYT to count every sale even if some are obvious fraud of their system). On top of that since POS data can come from any book retailer you'd be smarter to hit the discount outlets before trying that shit anyway - instead of paying the full cover price for your own book by the pallet load and then paying extra to pulp those copies. It's a dumb idea.

However.

Booksales are notoriously fickle and subject to all kinds of changing fashions. Some books just take off even though they aren't very good. Others never sell even though they're accessible to most readers, relevant to the time of publication and available nationwide. There are weird little rituals to print publication which, if not observed, mean retailers just don't see the book at the right time to promote in-store to their customers.

To make the #1 likely (since the actual methodology is secret to stop people scamming it) involves just selling more in any given week than any other title. There could be up to 52 a year on that basis, so an increase in numbers of #1s goes well with our understanding of declining print sales since the list began; the top titles are probably selling similar numbers and jockey back and forth. Outrider titles can get in on that more often because the top sellers are lower numbers than you might expect. Overall, the highest number of sales for a single title in a single week could be as low as a few thousand - but that still qualifies as best-seller that week by any reasonable interpretation.

The old EU ("Legends" now) had three tiers of canon, and happily shat all over anything that wasn't G-canon whenever it felt like doing so. It was the same system, but with emo S&M vore monsters from another galaxy who by definition weren't alive because the Force didn't touch them.

Sorry, but i stopped at the EU and that's it, actually i also disregard Clone Wars 3D cartoon because it directly disagrees with the movies.
>oh but it was made by Lucas
I don't give a fuck. All movies clearly shows that Anakin never had an apprentice, period. It was actually a plot point of him merely being a knight and not a master one of the reasons of him casting his lot with Palpatine.

>All movies clearly shows that Anakin never had an apprentice, period
You mean the one movie out of the trilogy that showed him as an adult and took place at the fucking end of the war?

Yes, that one. All the dialogue is clear that Anakin never had an apprentice. Everybody talks to him like he as a hot headed knight, not a former mentor of anyone. It was an stupid retcon that only messed with the whole Anakin character.
Anakin was actually stated to be Obi Wan's apprentice who fell to the dark side
>a pupil of mine until he turns evil

couldnt knights have apprentices? I thought master just meant you were on the council

We never even see him hanging out with anyone that isn't Padme or Obi-wan.

>couldnt knights have apprentices?
Yes
>I thought master just meant you were on the council
Also yes

>It was an stupid retcon that only messed with the whole Anakin character.
Not really
>Anakin was actually stated to be Obi Wan's apprentice who fell to the dark side
And that's still what happened

Technically a master is a knight who trained an apprentice to knighthood.
>Ashoka left the Order before being knighted
>thus Anakin never reached mastery
Ok a retcon... BUT the whole ROTS dialogue and atmosphere building is based on Anakin never having an apprentice, because nobody conceived that at the time. The whole world building was him being a brash knight that headbutted with the old guard. If he ever had an apprentice the whole dialogue and interactions between him and the Council would be radically different.
Ashoka was a stupid retcon to sell more toys and appeal to kids.

Part of the lore was changed so Knights having to mentor a padawan was another stipulation to access the title of Master instead of, you know, an exception. That way the existence of Ahsoka could be justified.

No, they retconned that in ROTS and the Gendy Clone Wars. He was knighted before the battle of Coruscant. He was a knight that hanged around his former master.

Blue! Talion can get dick whenever she wants

Shit, I guess that means that Anakin was never Obi Wan's pupil and he didn't turn evil.

Red... was that available in the history mode? Can't remember... guess blue then.
