Ehh. I think the first short sort of implied the Ed's stumbled upon some lovecraftian things. And the knowledge they learned transformed them into hideous creatures, which they fed the neighborhood kids to.

This one confirms that the Ed's were pushed beyond measure and like a school shooting just decided to kill all the kids in the neighborhood out of revenge. The jawbreaker seems to more s gross out play on the name.

I think whatever entity or phenomenon that transformed the Eds were drawn to them for the fact they were outcasts. Perhaps feelings of resetment are key to the transformation.

I think the most important part was Kevin saying dorks, then telling Kevin he was going to kill him and Kevin saying he was sorry. The way Eddy respond was that no matter what Kevin said at that point the damage was already done. It wasn't a threat to kill Kevin it was a statement.

So the truth was that they were going to die because how they treated the Ed's. It wasn't a question. That it's not done out of spite or retribution it's more or less the end result of the constant bullying. The Ed's have been pushed past the point of return.

I disagree. The animations are vulgar, yes, but I think a certain truth is made real or maybe just made clearer by the malforming of these popular properties.

So did fate or whatever could it be took over the Eds, sapping them of their humanity, and transform them into monsters to act as pure instruments of vegenance for the sins the wrought on the trio? Maybe Eddy happened to be the least affected by it, hence why he is the only one with a speaking role.
