In practice Cass has only ever been straight in her attractions, though she has on the rare occasion cozied up to a girl she was already comfortable around. You could say the harsh, repressive nature of her upbringing left her in the dark as to what her orientation is, but the most you could say is she's bi with a strong male preference.

Regardless of what she’s actually interested in, men would probably be a lot easier to experiment with, and especially one as forward as Kon. Not that Cass ever needs to be told when someone wants something from her, but the social aspects of courting would probably be difficult for her to navigate initially. Not to mention that we know Cass mimics “normalcy” that she observes on television, where gay relationships probably wouldn’t even be presented as an option in the mid-00s.
All that said, I don’t think she’s gay/bi, but probably just generally disinterested in romance after that initial experimentation period, since none of her fleeting “relationships” ever went anywhere or became remotely serious.

I don't know if avoiding romance would be the best thing for her. She's as human as anyone, and we all need love. It's probably especially problematic for her being able to read emotions, desires, in everyone's body language, and in certain environments and circumstances, it could leave her feeling lonely. She definitely needs someone she can trust and feel comfortable around, but that's a pretty short list.
