Not really? They were both supportive and inclusive without being white saviors.

>African-American critics disapproved of the original name for the heroine, "Maddy", due to its similarity to the derogatory term "mammy".
>Also protested were Maddy's original career as a chambermaid,he choice to have the black heroine's love interest be a non-black prince, and the use of a black male voodoo witchdoctor as the film's villain.
>Also questioned was the film's setting of New Orleans, which had been heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, resulting in the expulsion of a large number of mostly black residents.
>In response to these early criticisms, the film's title was changed in May 2007 from The Frog Princess to The Princess and the Frog. The name "Maddy" was changed to "Tiana",and the character's occupation was altered from chambermaid to waitress.
There's no pleasing that people, uh?

If only they had the internal emotional fortitude white people had

>White rich southerners portrayed in a positive light
They'd probably get a white privilege moment

I like this movie a lot and it's sad to me that almost every other person who likes it is an sjw who only gives a shit because there's black people in in.

They also got rid of the delicious floof.

yeah they're kinda integral to the plot as rich, privileged and white people, but I absolutely expect them to have a little speech about dismantling white privilege or whatever

CUTE

I doubt it will happen. Disney is still losing money and with the upcoming depression they'll be afraid to invest in anything new, even if 'new' is just a remake

I hate how animated movies never do great designs like this justice.
It's like when the storyboards look way nicer than the final product.

>Disney is still losing money
They're re-opening their Disneyworld parks in some countries, they will be fine.
>the upcoming depression
I'd believe you if you said this back in March or something but things are getting way better, so many places around the world re-opening, sport stadiums, cinemas, malls, beaches, etc.
Economy will be fine and so will everyone.

Imagine a Disney budget to the hair motion.

>They're re-opening their Disneyworld parks in some countries
That doesn't change this recession hit them hard.
>but things are getting way better
On the surface. The set interest rate is at 0% Literally 0%. It's reaching the point banks will CHARGE you to open savings account. It wasn't that low even before the recession. The Feds have churned out trillions for bailouts, while the debt ceiling continues climbing(which means the country is going to get hit harder when the fiscal cliff Congress keeps putting off finally goes through). We won't see the effects yet, but in a few years, a decade at most, the US is going to be hit with some crazy hyperinflation. What we saw was a sample. The Great Depression 2.0 is looming over the horizon...

>>Jovial and generous man who goes out of his way give business to a black seamstress because he knows she's the best, lets her bring her kid along to play with his kid because no sitter is available, treats both like family, indulges his child because he cares, but she turned put great
>>Loving and kind, knows Tiana knows better, knows Tiana would never accept a handout but generously gives her all the business she needs to achieve her dreams

Didn’t most brave’s budget go to just hair?

Does Lottie have any good porn?

I'm personally no fan of the big, long hair on Tiana. doesnt have that vintage feel

You know that's not how they'll be portrayed. Just like Gaston and Lefou were rewritten to be in the closet, they'll get recast as the rich old white man who hates them niggers but puts up with one raising her daughter because he's cold towards his family as well because he's a man. And the daughter will be an even bigger ditz than before because white privilege.

Seems more like they did it because it was the 20's and floof was limited by how short hair was

there won't be a live action remake of patf because thats a movie that has clear spots to improve despite the good things it does have going for it. to be honest though the movie would be vastly improved with out the frog parts. The setting and human characters are all gorgeous.

Does this upper class white people fashion really apply to a black woman living in new orleans?

Why is her hairline so far back?

>upper class
This wasn't a 'white' thing or a 'wealth' thing. This was a 'woman' thing. You either did it or you were a troglodyte

Goddamn. I can't choose between floof and flapper cuts! They're both so wonderful!

Disney can make a modern black princess with floof. You'll only get flapper cuts in this time period.

This is fan art.

If we get 'secretly huge' Lottie, I won't complain.

Hopefully Disney would be done with their live action remake fad at that point
Im kinda glad Twitter was in the primitive stage when PATF. Twitter would’ve been insufferable had it come out today.

Nothing they were pretty nice people every comment about them is how they’re clueless of Tiana struggle, but they’re very polite and supportive of her life
