>It doesn’t look like Family Guy will have a hard time finding Henry’s replacement, as Wendell Pierce has graciously offered to step in. Pierce, who starred in the David Simon series The Wire and Treme, launched a campaign to voice Cleveland Brown on Twitter—interestingly referencing The Cleveland Show, which ended after four seasons in 2013, instead of Family Guy. Either Pierce is unaware that the spinoff ended, or he’s taking a humorous jab at Family Guy. Or maybe he hopes his casting will revive the spinoff, and honestly, why the hell not! Look, Wendell Pierce is out here publicly offering his services, and the creators of Family Guy would be FOOLS to not take him up on it.
Think this mad lad could revive The Cleveland Show?
Sure let's revive a show that's been dead for years simply because the twitter mob can't understand what a voice ACTOR does and someone said they could use the money. What could go wrong?
Logan Jones
Wendell is pretty based but I'm so used to him as Bunk I can't imagine him as Cleveland
Ian Jackson
>why the hell not! Look, Wendell Pierce is BLACK, and that's what's important. Any black guy will do. First come first served...as long as you're black.
Leo Campbell
That's great and all but can we get rid of qualified immunity?
Kinda funny that his pal's name in said clip is Lester though.
Cameron Perez
>Cartoons and vidya constantly under pressure to reduce costs >Used to do that by having one VA voice multiple roles regardless of race, gender or even species >Now they have to hire extra VAs and cut costs to animation, sound, writers, etc or cut out minorities from future episodes How did this happen?
Jack Nelson
Yeah people really care about the voice of a side character who's barely in the show as is.
Sebastian Taylor
Oh BOO! Ah who cares, i don't even watch the damn cartoon anyway.
Matthew Morris
didn't Gumball have two sets of voice actor shake up for the main characters already?
Aiden Thompson
This stopped being about police reforms 3 weeks ago. Now it's big corporations virtue signalling, commies rioting, and Minnesota is still destroyed.
James Gutierrez
>as Wendell Pierce has graciously offered to step in What is he doing it for free?
Elijah Ward
Part of what made Cleveland funny was that he was obviously voiced by a white guy. Giving him a black VA ruins him.
Ian Walker
Because whites couldn’t stop killing blacks
Ryan Scott
That's common for young voice actors because the original voice actor's voices got deep.
