Is this analogy accurate?
Is this analogy accurate?
Who's the PC?
FOX
>Not making Nickelodeon the Nintendo analogue.
Come on, OP.
Nope. CN is more PlayStation while Disney is Nintendo.
no? disney would be nintendo, they have you by childhoods.
Not even close
CN isn't that bad as Nintendo. That pic is stupid.
>2020
I am forgotten.
No. It doesn't map will for any of them honestly.
streaming
So they're sega?
By the way, the thought behind this is:
>Disney: long-established front-runner
>Nick: Competitor that always falls flat
>CN: Can't compete so does its own thing
This is Sega
No, game companies and networks have practically nothing in common.
By that logic Disney ought to be Nintendo
More like Disney = Nintendo and Nick = Playstation, if we're going by age. Cartoon Network is younger than some posters on this website since the channel wasn't a thing until 1992 and didn't get original shit until the mid 90's. Nick was the same but a decade earlier roughly and Disney is like a century old.
Nintendo started life making cards in the late 1800's. PlayStation came out in the mid 90's, Xbox in early 00's.
Even if you talk about the companies at large, Nintendo still predates Sony & Microsoft by decades.
In terms of RELEVANCY though? Disney = Nintendo, PlayStation = CN and Xbox = Nick though that last comparison still feels off.
kimcartoon.me
No
Nintendo = TOYS
Playstation = movies
>Disney=Nintendo
Longest running, tightest branding, most kid friendly, largest tentpole franchises.
>Nick=Xbox
Jock/frat friendly
>CN=Playstation
Weeb friendly, most anime = largest jrpg pool
By that logic Nintendo ought to be out-selling everybody.
The Mario - Mickey Mouse line is pretty direct
Also on the money about Sony and CN with Toonami and [as]
You mean the site that literally unusable because anytime you click anywhere, another malware pops up?
nigga how can popups be real
just close the tab lmao
>CN=Playstation
>Weeb friendly, most anime = largest jrpg pool
>PlayStation is weeb friendly
user, it isn't 2005 anymore.
Cartoon Network is Playstation
Disney is Nintendo
They're more like an early, longer-lasting EGS: came in strong with a noteworthy product (you know the one) with little else of their own, and relied on licensing other things.
Sony wishes they were Disney, that much is correct.
This doesn't make any sense, no possible combination of these things makes any sense, There's no baseline comparison for an analogy beyond "big 3 of X industry" and even that's a stretch because Fox cartoons are more popular than any of those 3
Disney isn't the frontrunner of anything
Nick has consistently been number 1 as far as viewership
Saying Nintendo "can't compete" is blatantly retarded. The PS2 sold as well as it did because it was a cheap DVD player, not because of games, the DS, which is actually a gaming device is the real best selling GAMING console of all time. If there has been a consistent loser to the "console war" it would be Xbox, the original xbox was dwarfed by the GBA and PS2, the 360 was overshadowed by the Wii, The DS, the PSP, and the PS3 (because it was a blu-ray player), the xbox one is losing to the PS4, the Switch, and the 3DS.
Microsoft is barely a competitor because it doesn't do anything the playstation can't do and more.
CN is only so far below in viewership because of Disney and Nickelodeon's success with live-action shows (this is why CN attempted CN Live), looking at only their animated shows CN has done better than Disney (obviously not Nick though)
And more importantly, while PC has always had only a moderate market share as far as gaming, this isn't true of FOX and animation. Consistently the highest rated animated series for the past several decades have been shows from Fox like Simpsons and Family Guy.
But how the fuck can you justify saying the network of Spongebob "always falls flat"
>looking at only their animated shows
That assumption was your first mistake.
>Playstation
>Weeb friendly
WAS weeb friendly. Now it's takin over by cucks and feminists from Commiefornia.
It's not accurate because Disney is not losing exclusive content.
Why are you only looking at these 3 if not for their animated shows?
>Nintendo
>Can't compete
You retarded son?
Reminder Smash Bros was the best selling console exclusive of 2019
>nintendo can't compete
I think you mean literally doesn't have to since it's so well established with it's own branding and legacy it succeeds through sheer name recognition alone.
