>Bland world-building (cookie cutter post-apocalyptic world, with anthropomorphic animals + something weird and zany they do)
>Predictable boring story
>Humans bad, Mutants good theme
>Wolf is given little to do in S2
>Benson and Dave are terrible characters and hugely takeaway from the interesting Kipo/Wolf dynamic
>Bad gay romance that's forced in that makes Korrasami look like Romeo & Juliet
>Deus ex machina resolutions for both seasons

I've watched the show too and I think you're vastly oversimplifying plot elements in the story. To begin with, it's basically the plot of Gurren Lagann with the main character being an underground refuge for human after mutated animals have taken over the surface. The main character is someone driven by optimism and a just morality that gives them Deus Ex Machina powers that trumps the forces that oppose her.

The main morality of the show is most of the mutants on the surface, and wolf at first, believe that the only way to survive is to be selfish and purely egotistical. Kipo is a sweet girl who wants to be friends with everyone, and charms people to her cause and makes people want to believe that being selfish doesn't have to be the way of the world. It's not so simple as to say that "humans bad, mutants good."

As someone who liked Gurren Lagann alot, the world building is about the same, and in fact actually has just a little bit more world building since in Gurren Lagann it's never really explain where there are so many half animal creatures on the surface, but in Kipo it's explained that there was a mutation and they were looking for a cure.
