Should Punisher apologize to
Luke Cage?

I honestly wonder how much longer Disney is going to want to hold on to the Punisher in the current social climate.
Most people just see him as white male gun nut fantasy incarnate.

>I honestly wonder how much longer Disney is going to want to hold on to the Punisher in the current social climate.
Why? He's a vigilante who kills criminals of any and all races and creeds. He's also adamantly against cops doing or supporting what he does.

Yes, for that time he ruined Luke's shirt by throwing acid on him.

Maybe not since Punisher is a wanted criminal that most superheroes would arrest on sight. Cage would love to have him back on the Thunderbolts.

Normies haven't read a single comic. Seriously. Like never

Both will join the Avengers btw

>He's also adamantly against cops doing or supporting what he does.

That hasn't stopped actual shitty cops from co-opting Punisher imagery for decades.

He will probably be sidelined but never fully eliminated since they can still make money off of him.

Anyone who thinks Punisher will get rebooted for the movies is absolutely delusional. At best he'll get another low budget show/movie on Hulu or something.

Why should he apologize to the violent black man that stole his property and assaulted him?

did they ever even meet? I can only think of civil war where cage was among the rebels who stood around and watched cap beating the shit out of frank

>He's also adamantly against cops doing or supporting what he does.
Adaptations don't really go into the character deep enough or they deliberately skip the part that Frank becomes the Punisher because the Justice system fails and Frank hates cops because they are part of the justice system that failed him and he especially hates the corrupt NYPD who helped the gangs who murdered his family cover up evidence. That part is usually either glossed over or cut.

99.9% of people have never read a Punisher comics (or maybe even any comic of any kind). Punisher in the public consciousness is "that guy with the skull shirt that shoots people". He is most popular with two demographics: loner school shooter types who fantasize about killing the people who make fun of them at school, and cops who fantasize about shooting anyone they feel like it.

Relative to those two demographics, the 50 thousand or so people who actually like the Punisher and understand the character are a small minority. Even in the sphere of comic book readers, there are many who still write the character off as one note murder man. To most people, he's a charicature. Hell, I've read a bunch of punisher comics, and if someone asked me what I thought of him I probably wouldn't say anything positive just because of how cringy/awful his "fans" are.

>and Frank hates cops because they are part of the justice system that failed him
You all have to go back.

I know right? Imagine spacing out two paragraphs for clarity
rent free

I think the biggest problem with Frank is that he goes after largely the same targets the law enforcement goes after, except he doesn't read them their rights, or have to face any oversight, or do any community outreach, or even arrest them so that a trial can take place., he just finds out who the bad guys are (and he's always right about it) and he kills them. Jesus, of course this appeals to cops. It's the "thin blue line" ideology and the war on drugs boiled down to their most potent form. There's literal massive seminars where cops go to hear how they have to be "warriors", sheepdogs guarding the sheep from the wolves, and Frank literally thinks of his conflict with criminals as a "war". It's why people claim Frank is a "fascist". He's not a vigilante because he thinks the system is wrong in some skewed way that's leading to so many turning to crime, he simply doesn't think it goes far enough in doing the things it's already doing: punishing those it deems criminals.

...What are you even on about?
>literally a What If where he was killing specifically crooked cops
>random filename; can't even get it from some e-reader
>probably doesn't even know what the issue is
The absolute STATE of Tumblrfugees!

a Super hero is an ideology, an identity and the extra ability to make it a reality. To have such a large range of heroes but to cut one out for real world politics would be silly. If anything this gives you more minutia to explore and make stories with. Its much the same as cap being removed from america when patriotism was begging to be looked down upon. This only adds more potential.

Besides if you go after Punisher because of brutality and no accountability then you have to go after every super hero and nobody wants to civil war again..... again.....

for being black?

is this fanart or official?

I know people like to talk about that black face issue of Punisher but its kind of lame. Its supposed to be a team up between him and punisher but neither are wearing their proper outfits, just black leather jackets, Luke never finds out it was frank and little to nothing is done with frank being black apart from a joke at the start about the cops shooting him on site. Frank could have been blue and everything might have been exactly the same.

no he doesn't, that wasn't in based Ennis's run!

I like him

>specific crooked cop
As opposed to the usual everyday crooked cop?

Because IRL cops didn't get the message and often have little punisher decals.

Who? Frank? Everyone here likes him.

I mean, that's the thing with retards. They see guns go pew pew and think it's the coolest shit ever without thinking of the meaning. Just ask any low-level drug dealer what they think of Scarface and Tony Montana specifically.

Just make him black. He can still shoot gang members and shit, and the normies will eat it up. Look at Bad Boys and the Equalizer. Or just get replace him with Spawn

Frank was never a pro-cop character. Marvel just needs to reclaim him from the mob of retarded gun-toting Republicans, he was never meant to represent them anyway.

>Just make him black
Fuck off, kike
