So what’s going on in the world of this show outside the four nations?
There... is more than the four nations... isn’t there?

Its a small planet.
Given the water tribes live in the equivalent of the Arctic and Antarctic, the landmass we're looking at there is bigger than Asia and Africa combined. It may well stretch much of the way around the planet and if so there may be no significant other landmasses.
...And yeah, it may be a small planet.
Maybe the world is flat and what you see is all there is.
what I want to is where the fuck that Guru guy was from, he was the only Indian character in the show
Nothing.
"Bryke" are fucking retarded apes who cant into world building.
On the other side of the earth is Xadia from the Dragon Prince. No, I don’t have any evidence. But it’s true
> Northern Water Tribe is just one city
> Southern Water Tribe is just one village
> The Fire Nation capital doesn't even have a name.
Quality world-building?
Why the fuck did they turn south? To see the Great Divide? Seriously?
>There... is more than the four nations... isn’t there?
Not outside of fanfic. (1/2)
Nothing

And the hideously long map key and write up.
>tfw no Avatar mod for Europa Universalis or HOI
There Are Also Indians cause the Guru was definitely not from any of the four nations we saw.
The writers probably didn't give him much thought. He's a cartoon character, who cares, right?
True enough.
> Pathik did not hold an allegiance to any one nation and was willing to teach anybody who wished to learn from him.
Yeah, there's no explanation. He just... exists. No origin, nothing.
You know, if they made a sequel to Avatar that revealed the second half of the world, Pathik's existence could've been clever foreshadowing.
It's possible his people like the Aztec firebenders are almost extinct?
Like the lion turtles
A stupid unfun asspull
Anybody want to explain why the Fire Nation never sent troops west to establish military bases near Ba Sing Se? Why the fuck did they only invade East to west? Why the fuck did our heros travel the far longer way to get from the Earth Kindom to the fire Nation in the series finale? Could it possibly be that they really didn't think out the geography of this world and focused more on narrative?
The Dark Continent.
That would make sense since he was alive before the war began and before the Airbenders were wiped out
Avatar isn't Kingdom, you're not gonna get well-written military strategies here.
What is its purpose in the story of Hunter x Hunter anyway?
Smaller planet.
Maybe there are some islands straggling in an ocean on the "far side" but with the fire nation's naval capabilities and the air nomads penchant for world travel, I doubt there's anything continent sized there.
Lets not forget our real planet earth has had more compact distributions of land in the past.
Are Avatar characters bigger than real-life humans, then? To even out the gravity thing?
Maybe the planet is denser. It'd have to be hella dense though since the Earth actually has a far higher gravity than it should because its core is even denser then the other 3 terrestrial worlds.
Obviously the world is flat, since that's what the default is.
Even if it's the same size as Earth, we've got a whole lot of nothing on one side.
