I didn't see it, but it's racist because the black guy is a pigeon for like more than half the film.

At this point if I ever make an animated feature starring a black guy (lol) I'd have him be transformed into something for most of the film too just to piss people off.

What's the point of turning him into a pigeon, why not just stick to high concept spy hijinks without shoehorning in someone's bird fetish

It's actually one of the better animated movies of the year it came out, nice morale and character development at the end but the whole thing felt like a weird AU for Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs where he becomes a secret agent.

We get it, your dick is small.

Didn't watched it. I almost wanted to but as soon as the trailer showed the pigeon bullshit, I got turned off. I wish it was just a dope animated spy flick with typical spy stuff.

go back

i'd want that too, but it seems kids like funny animal mascots more than they like james bond.

Slowly working your way up in the industry for years drawing, coloring, animating other peoples fetishes. Finally get to a position where you have creative control over the next project, and you DON'T put your fetish in? Are you fucking serious.

On a side note, when was the last time Will Smith made a really enjoyable movie? Or even a kind of enjoyable movie.

While the trailer and most promotional stuff make it seem really bland, its actually a really nice movie. Action scenes are well shot, characters are enjoyable for the most part, and it has some decent comedy.

Also the villian was great.

I watched parts of the ending while drunk. Something about a minor terrorist turned super-villain because of probably-justifiable excessive force theme that didn't mesh super well with the Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, awkward gizmo inventor just wants to be accepted stuff. Wasn't even half of a coherent thought in the thing. And then all the poppy memeshit.

Whoever voiced the baddy did a pretty good job of it, but it was clouded by all the mediocrity about it.

I saw it in theaters, I remember being surprised by the quality, but that was only because I expected it to be total shit. Good visuals, some cool fight scenes, meh writing, bleh humor.

Any porn of Tom Holland's character? Asking for a friend.

Burgers?

>I'd have him be transformed into something for most of the film too just to piss people off.
kek

so like 3 of the 4 animated movies with a black lead turns them into a creature lol

Also there would be a spunky Asian girl with a purple streak in her hair

Also a latino person who randomly speaks spanish between their english

The villain is too hot.

other than Peanuts and Ice Age 1, this is Blue Sky's best movie.

...I realize that isn't saying much at all, but still.

some Blue Sky reps gave a talk at my college a few years ago. they individually introduced each of those posters on a screen, one at a time.

the Peanuts Movie got a few claps. other than that: silence. It was kinda depressing.

Damn, Ice Age and Rio are at least pretty good.

You'd think Dreamworks would have stayed humble after KFP3 getting pushed back but no, they had to try and directly compete with Star Wars.

Watched it, was alright. Kind of weird the science guy joined an spy organization with the goal of creating completely pacifist weapons, but whatever.

That brief moment when Tom Hollands character sat on Will Smith's characters lap was kinda hot, that's all I got from the movie.

For people that haven't seen this movie, it's not what you think it is.
It's a straight up Pixar movie deconstruction. Even down to the types of characters.
Well directed action scenes and an investing plot. I recommend seeing it as a refreshing break from a lot of the samey CGI movies made now.

Robots is best here by far

Well damn, with the relatively positive reactions in this thread I'm actually curious about seeing this movie.

You should.

I bought it because all pirating options were a bust for me, but yet, paying $6 for the movie was worth it.

Now this made me feel sad

>Has anyone seen this movie? What did you think about it?
the slapstick in the movie was one of the best I have ever see
