After binging the entire original series for the first time since I was a kid, after watching the first episode of alien force I have to say that it made zero sense to make Kevin a good guy. He showed no good inside of him at any moment he was on screen. He is a completely different person. Also, it's nice to see Ben be nice to Gwen but I feel like he grew a vagina
After binging the entire original series for the first time since I was a kid...
Look my best guess was either hormones or wisdom with age.
He just wanted to fuck Gwen probably
A lot of the choices made with the jump to Alien Force made very little sense to me, even as a kid.
It also bothered me that everyone looks like their dressing in attire from decades prior.
I mean, I still kinda liked it though. It was just very bizarre and I guess it negated Ben 10,000
So hormones.
>Kevin 11
Kek
EVERY future ben depiction invalidated the one before it
it made lots of sense though
kevin had low self esteem and was pretty much just caught in bad situations as a kid
why wouldn't he lash out?
Remember that time Kevin tried to crash a passenger train with a money train so after he murdered all of those people, he could steal the money? Yeah, he's just misunderstood
Alien force tried something new and it worked it was basically as if Ben 10 grew up with the audience that was watching it, I myself felt that back in the day even if it's pretencious now you can't say that it didn't do its job right at the time
I agree that making kevin a good guy was weird but if you think about it there was a 3 years timeskip
who knows what happened during those years
how did kevin go back to normal
why did ben stop wearing the original omnitrix
some questions were answered in Ultimate Alien others not
I personally wish they made those 3 years timeskip episodes after ultimate Alien rather than Omniverse
I also think Kevin should've joined later during season 1 rather than literally the first episode
Ben 10.000 never made sense to me desu, it doesn't take place that far into the future yet it seems like 200 years have passed since the original series, I never really liked it
also it implies Ben ended up with Kai fuck that we all know he's been plowing dat red head cousin ass
Look I'm not preciously holding onto the canon of Ben 10,000. But I've always been under the impression Alien Force and Ultimate Alien with it takes place in an alternate universe from the OG Ben 10. For all of the blatantly non-congruent things mentions.
Ben in Ben 10 literally could not remove the Omnitrix to save his life. Then Alien Force starts when something happens to Grandpa and we find out Ben has taken it off some time ago and it's a major decision for Ben to put it on. This did not happen in any episode nor comic that alleged to be the finale of Ben 10. Nowhere is the how or why explained AFAIK. Then all the little things like the relationship redefinition that allowed Kevin to not have an 8 episode long redemption arc before joining Ben's team.
Wtf, this was in a kids show?
Ben 10 was raw okay ?
I still think Alien Force was cool.
>he grew a vagina
What?
UAF tried to do things ham-fistedly everything from maturity and development was done so fast that they ran out of ideas which is why ben character is inconsistent
Ben10k gets retconned due to in-universe reasons you ding dongs have been established in the episode "ben10k returns"
>headcannon:the post
I know you're holding to your nostalgia goggles a little bit too much but don't make it cloud your judgement everything from os to ov is part of a single continuity and you have to accept it
>Ben in Ben 10 literally could not remove the Omnitrix to save his life
Never have it been stated that Ben himself took omnitrix infact omniverse alluded that azmuth is the one that took it off and the omnitrix is removable we've seen kevin do it and even azmuth removed the core in the movies
>Nowhere is the how or why explained AFAIK. Then all the little things like the relationship redefinition that allowed Kevin to not have an 8 episode long redemption arc before joining Ben's team.
That's just lazy writing not inconsistent to actual canon again you can't prove otherwise
Muh we ran out of ideas so we're gonna make it so every time we retcon something it's actually the high aliens Xs deciding faith
also Ben is evil now and instead of the omnitrix he can time travel accross dimensions
fuckk off with that faggy shit they just shoehorned a movie villain into the show and then realized movie villains work because they're non-canon
You're referring to Eon?
>yet it seems like 200 years have passed since the original series
You have to remember that earth is an open home to alien species by then and new species means new tech.
He had a mentor in the null void , he basically had therapy for 5 years. They explained most of his evil behavior was due to consuming pure energy. Energy is like red kryptonite to osmosions
>Kevin becomes good guy
>charmcaster is still evil
oh come on
She should've ended up with gwen.
Would have been interesting.
Like instead on relying on Gwen, Ben has two unreliable, ex villain partners.
oh i was going to say ben, gwen is dating ben old villain, ben is now dating gwen old villain.
Yeah it was animated and felt like a 90s cartoon.
The role of Kevin should have definitely just been some high school buddy
I'm so tired of hearing this argument, first of all, Duncan Roleau(Man of Action) said Kevin was always supposed to evolve into an anti hero later on, secondly, they explained this in Ultimate Alien, Kevin absorbing energy induces sociopathy in Osmosians, he only managed to return to normal after Kwarrel taught him to disperse it from his body and absorb matter only
The only real things I remember from this show is that Ben was drowning in pussy and had a new girlfriend every couple of episodes and they tried to tackle shit like Ben getting a drivers license. Riveting.
Did he really say that? Kevin 11,000 was still evil. I guess Ben 10,000 isn't completely canon
But Charmcaster was an adult when Ben was a kid
First of all man of action is not responsible for writing anything after os secondly "word of god" doesn't matter when it isn't alluded to or said in canon yes i do however agree that kevin was hinted to be a little sympathetic my main criticism is that his redemption arc wasn't long enough or well written,Oh yeah and the guy you mentioned thought kenny was an evil counterpart to ben he obviously talks from his ass
See
