Also the only good finale in CN history

No show makes me wish I was a kid again like EEnE. Just hanging out with friends in the neighborhood during summer vacation.

When the Film ended so did Cartoon Network. Forever. There will never be another one. Outlived all the other shows and now lives on without ANY reboots.

>5 seasons and a movie
>never got stale or repetitive
>writing quality never decreased
>literally 0 bad episodes
>no massive status quo changes (other than the school, which really didn't change much about the show or characters other than allowing for more plot ideas)
>no flanderization
>top-tier slapstick
>god-tier sound effects and music
Unironically kino

>literally 0 bad episodes
I love the show but I've gotta disagree, the one with Eddy's middle name sticks out to me as being pretty fucking weak compared to the show overall.

Season 4 had some real bad stinkers where they’d even get meta about running out of ideas

Yeah show is grand but every season after season 1 had a bad episode.

I was never a fan of the friendship day episode. AFAIK it was the first and one of the few full length episodes and that just made it feel a bit off.

>Johnny
>White

Craig of the Creek comes close but the bullies are too soft and parents exist.

>no flanderization
I think they made an episode making fun of how flanderized they got.

>no flanderization
Well lets be fair, Ed definitely got stupider and less articulate after season one.
Compare the way he narrated the in the junkyard episode to how he talks in the alter seasons and you would be shocked just how retarded he got.
The boy went from spaced out nerd to literal reetard.

I never got this
Is he really supposed to be black?

I doubt that was the intention. He has the same skin color as Rolf, who is pretty much Italian based on Antonucci's comments.

we never will get to see a goth girl molesting the nerd again

wait you mean the two-parter if it smells like an ed?
That was one of my faves

I thought Rolf was supposed to be an Eastern European immigrant and/or raised by them. I'm terrible with accents though.

desu i think the show had plenty of bad episodes and unfunny moments. I think the reason it's so fondly remembered is because it actually had some fucking STYLE, it looked like its own fucking cartoon and not like you could show me a background from any other cartoon and I couldn't tell you which one it was

Ralph Colonizer confirmed

He's supposed to be Italian but they mixed his fictional country culture with german shit.

he's f o r e i g n. that's the joke. the joke is you have no idea where he's from or what his weird culture is, but it's also kind of nice because despite all of his odd customs he's still just another nice kid from the neighborhood.

I think they intelligently avoided the subject so he wouldn't be "the black character" but it was implied.

Yeah that one. The episode itself isn't bad, plot wise, I guess as a kid I just felt it went a little long compared to the normal formula of two short plots per episode.

The cultural jokes are basically pan-european with a lot of them being particularly eastern European, but Antonucci has said he's heavily inspired from his own experience coming from an Italian immigrant family. He wanted to avoid particular stereotypes of any one culture to avoid being called out as mocking them though.

The movie ending would be seen as racist if he was confirmed black.

Said it before but he's probably from Trentino-Alto Adige. It's a part of Italy that historically and culturally is mostly Germanic, but it blends some Italian traditions in too.

I know that feel user. Playing kickball, exploring the woods, going to birthday parties, fucking around with friends, drawing comic books, I miss it.

Kid's don't hang out like this anymore.

The reality is kids are more interested in tik toks and social media than playing and wanting to go exploring, and we wonder why kids are becoming more depressed as the years go on because they lack the socializing 90's kids had.

You can do all of those things as an adult too.
t. 21 year old card carrying R Club member.

I actually did this for the first time in forever with a friend the other weekend. Was just as fun as it used to be.
You can still do this in your 20s and 30s, in fact you should, because in your 40s it's not as easy....

The older you get the more wandering around your neighborhood will draw suspicion. You can always go to the woods though.

I know, but back then I was stupid, hopeful, friendly, and happy. Even if I did the same things I used to do, it wouldn’t feel the same

My mother made the second half of her career beach combing. She will be 43 in October and shows few signs of slowing down.

People just take themselves too seriously these days.

Craig of the Creek is that

Craig of the Creek had a """""non-binary""""" character for woke points
