I wish I hadn't seen the April Fools episode before I watched the series. The last scene in the fifth episode would've hit a lot more. Fantastic ride either way.

It's all a bit unfortunate. A spoiler (although one that we all surely saw coming), that I won't be able to experience Plague again for the first time during a proper airing, that there's only five episodes left to fill out the journey

No pun intended but that plague episode was fucking sick. The way they animated that infected dinosaur to give him a bunch of boils and leaking bodily fluids and just make him as disgusting as possible in every frame is some truly impressive work. In general this cartoon is fucking incredible to look at, I really hope this goes on for a while.

The best part was how genuinely terrified spear and fang looked the entire episode. They both do the whole "too angry too die" thing a lot but even then it was so outlandish that they just were fucking running scared. Even when it was dying they looked uneasy, what a great fucking show

I haven't felt so legitimately creeped out by a cartoon since I was a kid.

I think the grosses part was when it was chasing Spear and Fang down the canyon you could see in its shadow a chunk of flesh just fall right off.

I love Genndy. May he continue to make action cartoons to the very end. Samurai Jack, Sym-Bionic Titan, Star Wars, and Primal are top tier.

I've been trying to think of reasons why the episode hits so much better than the average gore-horror work, and now I finally realize that it's because Spear and Fang were so fucking disturbed the entire episode while they're usually always ready to fuck something up.
