Its mostly a rural thing. In parks in big American Cities women do go topless sometimes, and specially in beaches, we even have nude beaches. There's one close to me near San Francisco that I accidentally stumbled upon.

Nudity is great. Not office conversation, but many options for nude spaces. Wish they freed the nipple though.

What's interesting about the beach I mentioned was that it was partially hidden. See in Northern California we have a lot of cliffs and rocky beaches so this beach was somewhat hidden by rocks and a small hill. People would go there, get naked, and forget about their troubles. And that's what nude places should be like I think. What's funny is that there weren't that many young people, it was mostly boomers. And yeah, just free the fucking nipple, dicks can stay inside but I dont mind a woman taking her boob out to feed her offspring, or women going topless at a small town park, which NEVER flies in small town America, only in big cities like NYC, SF, and LA, and SPECIALLY Miami.

It is not proper to salute the anthem unless one is a soldier or veteran, and out of uniform has been allowed only since 2008.

Those seem like reasonable guidelines. And I have no particular reason to be disrespectful to the flag or anthem. But that's just some pageantry that dead people came up with and I have no personal obligation to do the hokey pokey for the sake of tradition.
