If it's good, then it's good.

>asks this
>on a site for 18+
>on the board specifically made for mostly children's cartoons
Ain't different than watching sports, nigga. if i want to see hot, tight girls do balle or some kid fighting monsters it's my god given right to. Unless you cared for other's opinions, but if you do...yikes.

There's so little made for my demographic that I'm actually interested in that I'll take quality where I can get it.

Do any of you feel that context should be taken into account at all? Like for example, isn’t it at all strange that a male young adult would be interested in a movie about girls doing ballet? Does it really not matter?

why would it?
Why would grown adults animate and draw said girls ?

Zig Forums baited me into watching this. The voice acting is either average or just terrible, plot is "eh", I've been told that the finale is the best part but you might as well just watch the finale alone, cause the rest of the movie ain't worth it.
Also Leap is a better title, though I hate the Disney-naming convention that most animation companies seem to have silently agreed upon.

When "the demographic" has material that's overwhelmingly shit, why not explore other options
Furthermore the idea that media can ONLY be meant for one specific group and not enjoyed by anyone else? Either you're braindead or trolling
Hope it's trolling

Why not? Girls like movies about boys piloting robots or playing soccer

Not trolling, it’s mostly just insecurity.

>Walk straight into the store
>go into the toy isle and pick up the Elsa doll
>walk up to the cashier
>Cashier: Is this a gif-
>Me: No, i love Elsa and her sister dearly. It's for my Elsa shelf that i've taken a great deal to collect and gather.
>Cashier: Uhhh...
>tfw i pay with a check that has Elsa as the background

I don't mind that adults watch cartoons for children, but it is pretty irritating when they shit up the entire board with their nonsense.
Adult cartoon-watchers make for some of the worst people on this board.

>he complains about adult cartoon watchers on the fucking board literally for adult cartoon watchers
are you retarded?

Based

No, just irritated. This board is also for comics and almost every time I come here, it's 90% cartoon threads.
Fuck you.

comics are for legit retards. Fucking Baby Loony Toons is better than reading some faggy comic book.

It can be fun, sometimes more so because you can watch for the methods they use to appeal to the intended demographic and consider how effective (or not) they are, like when something is hilariously Corporate and Focus Tested.

And sometimes you don't have a choice anyway, as anyone who ever babysat a toddler can say.

Demographics are something corporate bean-counters worry about in an attempt to make sure they can remain in the black.

If you, as a consumer, worry about it, YOU ARE A SCHMUCK!

You know where the concept of "demographics" comes from, right?

Good content transcend demographics. It's why both adults and children can enjoy ATLA or comic books. If your story panders just to a small group of people, then the quality of the work is in question if it has such small appeal.

comic fags have their own containment threads

Filtered
Yes, and cartoon fags require entire containment boards because they such huge pieces of shit.

Are you hiding something on the internet

No.

From some of the webms I've seen of this show, I'm not entirely sure this wasn't made for my demographic.

Sometimes it surprises me.
Most times I can tell it was made by the French.
Other times I watch anime.

My friends collected dolls for a while. Mostly expensive ones but he really got into the Monster High fad when it was good. Mind you he was in his thirties back then.
He regularly went into toy stores (he likes to buy what he can in person) and asked for certain dolls. When they asked him who is this doll for (guess to help him choose better because he is male so he must not know what little girls like) he said it is for him with a straight face. Or other times they asked the age of the person and he said 33.

I wish I could have the balls to be like this but I can't.

I'm a manchild so I don't judge anyone who watches children movies for example.
Of course it should but normalfags won't do it. If you like children cartoons the best is you are a creep but mostly they will think you are a pedophile. Nobody cares it is definitely because of a combination of mental illness, lack of self esteem and bad parenting.
Crazy but people on Zig Forums are more tolerant than the normal population.

Lemme guess, that character is some femboy twink and the movie is about tranny acceptance

Is that a cartoon remake of this movie?

If it's creative or experimental I don't care who it was made for. Especially in 2d stuff or just really old cartoons. Watching stuff targeted to kids in the 50s-70s is a mindfuck. Watching stuff from other countries is always great too, the more culturally dissimilar the better.

But sometimes it's hard to tell what's worth watching with modern kids media, especially cg. Fifteen years ago I would watch any cg thing just to see it. But now there are so many that what would have been ground-breaking tech back then is used for the blandest shit. I wonder if I should just watch them like how I'd watch a tech demo despite having no interest in the movie, but that feels bad. Like the Trolls movies are an example. There's genuine visual flair and some interesting color and texture stuff going on. But the concept overall is just... bland. But sometimes one of those bland-looking movies turns out to be Mune or Book of Life or something and it's worth it.

I used to never miss a pixar flick, since I thought of them as cultural milestones. But it's been years since I cared enough to see one.

Movies like Leap are on the edge for me. Like I know it's boutique french animation, but. I don't know. I just can't see a reason to watch. I felt the same about The Little Prince and ended up being blown away, though.
