I know that this seems like bait but What If #44 is legitimately one of my favorite comics of all time.
It honestly makes me angry that Spencer essentially took an amazing issue, stretched it over a year and a half and a big event, and absolutely stripped it of any meaning or impact it should have had.

This between Cap and Rogue is very meta and endearing. A yankee eating humble pie that the southerner was never guilty of.

Happy 4th of July y'all.

why did they make this so anti-trump
i'm sick of politics in my comics

Spencer is a hack, though. The only thing about his run was John Walker. Which is sad because Sam actually had potential

Lol

>with a character that is inherently political

Hydracap was better

It was a good concept. But it was doomed to fail. If anything, I liked that Steve's intelligence was finally taking the spotlight. too sad that it barely happens most of the time

I miss Hydra Cap

I'm like a little baby as far as Captain America goes. But I like his character and want to read some of his stories. /r/ing recs for good runs, or good places to start for a Cap n00b?

Well of course, how else he would be allowed to run around in colours of USA

The setup leading toward the empire was a wild ride

Is that edit or original (never bothered to read Secret Empire full)?

>all I see are nationalities instead of character traits

I've read Brubakers run, which was fantastic. Really enjoyed how he depicted Cap in action.

Also started with the og avengers comics. I especially liked the Zemo stuff.
