It will probably be utterly mediocre given Pixar's recent works.
It genuinely looked good, until he became that blue blob and he had the obligatory wacky female sidekick and she did her wacky dance.

The girl blob is probably his stillborn daughter or somebody related to him.

Pete Doctor is the only guy at Pixar left I trust, so hopefully.

Did neither of you see the other trailer? The girl blob is someone that hasn't been born yet, and the movie is about him teaching her about how great it is to be alive. From there, we can assume that he's going to realize that actually loves teaching, go back to his job as a middle school music teacher, and then meet girl blob in his class ten years later.
Also, the two of them share a body.

We gotta save this post. I bet that's how the movie will end, the girl blob and him make eye contact and she winks. He then calls on her to play a song while the movie fades to black as she plays. Either that or he sacrifices his chance at life so girl blob can experience it. That way Disney can claim woke points by having a black trans character.

Pixar movies have gone downhill. It seems to have started around the time they started doing sequels other than Toy Story 2. I don't have very high hopes.

Save your money and enjoy your preconeived notions and your irrational spleen.

And let's not forget the moment in which the main character fails their big audition, causing Girl Blob to declare that she was right about life sucking all along before going home. Then Main Character sulks around until he realizes that teaching was his true passion and he goes to get her back.

I think it looks potentially very interesting. I don't mind a movie about learning about a man's life and how it influenced his passions and dreams while commenting on the aspects of life that are worth living. Whether or not it'll be truly good depends on how much time they waste on Tina Fey making bad jokes.
