what cartoon is this

>Main character has zero redeeming qualities beyond "optimistic and nice"
Is there a bigger red flag for a shitty show? Spongebob, Flapjack, Clarence, Chowder, all overrated garbage that Zig Forums pretends to love for some reason.

Clarence

Jeff was the only reason why I watched this show.

Man, who hit you

Fairly odd parents is the worst show I’ve ever seen and it didn’t have those red flags

Probably prefers power fantasy shows where he wishes to be the bad-ass loner that gets all the chicks.
Even though he's not qualified to get fairy godparents, Clarence would be better than Timmy in making wishes that benefit people and not just himself.

yikes

>Probably prefers power fantasy shows where he wishes to be the bad-ass loner that gets all the chicks.
At least thats more accurate to real life. How many nice kids that you knew when you were younger had tons of friends? None. They were all bullied and mocked for not being manly enough. They always include a love interest character too, that would realistically find the main character disgusting and make fun of them like everyone else. Kids are brutal. I've seen them bully each other to suicide before. Its not only unrealistic, but irresponsible for these shows to exist, they're horrible role models for the children watching them.

>How many nice kids that you knew when you were younger had tons of friends?
Plenty, user. Fuck, I was friends with one of them before he moved schools.

>nice guys finish last
>nice guys are always pushovers
>nice guys never stick up for themselves

Buddy, I'm being nice enough to not call you a retard right now even though I really want to. Niceness is not weakness, overcompensating with antagonistic behavior just to maintain social dominance is.

>At least thats more accurate to real life.
then how come most school shooters are loners who can't get any chicks at all (hence the shooting)?

>overcompensating with antagonistic behavior just to maintain social dominance is.
isn't that what craig of the creek is doing?

>one of clarence's best episodes
>has to compete with a throwaway SU character for the name

I liked the show

yikes

Yes. That's the point of that character. Retard.

I tried to watch it but Jesus Christ Clarence was such a shitty unlikable kid I had to bail.

I like how experimental it would get

Is it true that Skyler Page didn't do anything besides voicing the main lead once his pilot was picked up for a full series?

Attached: Here's your creator, bro.jpg (800x450, 57.81K)

probably not because he has writers credit for a lot of episodes

learn to read the situation before replying.

>the reason you like Clarence, in spite of it’s creator, is because the “creator” had very little to do with the show. Despite what it says in the credits, Skyler never wrote a single episode of Clarence. It was created by the writers (me and Spencer Rothbell) and the talented board artists (people like Charlie Gavin, Derek & Diana). We took Skyler’s idea of “a fat dumb kid” and made a character out of it. Skyler mostly “kept the couch from floating away”, and read whatever lines we gave him. There’s been enough victims of Skyler Page, don’t punish the talented crew that actually raised Clarence.
This is coming from Patrick Harpin, the Head of Story during the show's earliest episodes. He's the same guy who shared these board panels from "Money Broom Wizard," an episode that Skyler received sole storyboarding credit for. Isn't that at least a little peculiar?

Aww, Clarence is so cute. I just wanna give him a big ol' bear hug!

So he was even more like John K then I thought

maybe everyone is jealous of skyler's contributions and creative approach with his own show? whatever works, he had it

The side and background characters were literally the only reason I watched this. They had more character and were genuinely more entertaining than Clarence.

>Clarence pretending to play the arcade game's demo because he didn't have money
fuck that hit home

Most of these shows are targeted to elementary school audiences, you sound like you're speaking from a high school or possibly middle school experience, and a shit one at that.
