You know, it kind of makes sense that Anja is so aged and haggard. The comic runs at a snail's pace, and it's been years since interesting things happened. Sadly, as she is aging in real time while the comic plods along, Anja will be dead and buried well, well before the final act.

Nobody that would judge it as such, except for maybe Anja here. Juliette has been helping to keep Kat's progress a secret from the Court

Kat's aware of the Angel thing but probably just thinks it's the robots being quirky like with their worship of Diego and Jeane. I don't think she knows Robot is the one who preaches that stuff to the robots or that there's anything ethereal going on.

Annie has seen her god form in action.

Why would Kat send the bird to her workshop?

Because her parents told her about it. They need to know in order to forward Kat's research so the bird can be built.

The bird is not advanced tech, it's just some shitty old robot Kat built cuz she was bored.

Also, how would this affect Kat's research?

it still required events to unfold so she'd get bored at that right time.
She would not have the space to build her super-computer, invite Paz over or research the artificial flesh. The robots also pretty much turned into into the cradle of her godhood.

Exactly my point. All of these things are necessary for her becoming a god, not for her inventing time travel.

Annie has seen Kat's goddess form in the arrow simulation so she knows something's going on but not exactly what. Only we the readers have had a good look at the robot cult, characters in the setting don't realize how big of a deal it is.

Sure, I just wanted to make a distinction between Annie who's actually seen Kat interact with the ether (which we the reader actually didn't see) and Zimmy, who's just seen Kat's image so far.

TIME TRAVEL PLOTS SUCK

Doesn't Annie have any thoughts on this whole story? Hasn't she paid attention to Coyote's secret or Jones' true nature?

The Annies aren't all that smart, it'd take about 3 or 4 of them to match the intellect of a normal person, never mind someone like Kat. The two of them combined just aren't enough.

I imagine that Jones probably gives the best head, for once the blank expression would work in her favor
