Does anyone really care? The interest in this movie already seemed pretty low, then the pandemic hit and it became all but forgotten about. It'll probably do better numbers when it eventually gets released because people will be desperate for the "movie experience" than it would if it released under normal conditions.

It's just directionless now. When Iron Man came out, everyone knew it was leading up to The Avengers, then Avengers came out and they introduced Thanos as the big bad over the horizon, now there's nothing to look forward to and hold audiences' interests. Why would they do what is essentially an origin movie for a character that they JUST killed off?

Yeah that's the thing with the MCU. It was always this hype train on social media where you expected it to go somewhere and they reached the destination and Endgame was a tad bit of letdown from what I've seen with people. The air has been let out, so to speak. DC can actually just rely on big names alone which is somewhat of an advantage. Like Batman, Joker, Wonder Woman. They don't need anything boosting them.
I think the point of the article is that Widow is going to return to the MCU, specifically the new wave of Avengers. But I still doubt people will care much.
