Will DC ever accept change? Or will we forever be stuck with guys like Barry and Hal forever?
Will DC ever accept change? Or will we forever be stuck with guys like Barry and Hal forever?
>comic sales numbers keep going down with every year
Eventually they will have to change. Or die. Either way, they'll change.
Having Hal doesn't magically erase the other Lanterns you tard
But will happen to us? To Zig Forums?
Even if they “changed” Barry and Hal would not go anywhere.
Not since we entered the movie era. Brand synergy is more important than ever because superheroes are a bigger business than they've ever been.
It does. Kyle was much better and now he’s barely seen. Same with Wally
Relax tumblr, once they go to public domain DC will replace them with gender-fluid niggers
No, the best you can hope for is the introduction of a new character for a little while before they go back to the status quo
This refusal to pass on the mantle over the decades leaves the whole industry stagnant
Zig Forums is really obsessed with Hal
>Kyle was much better and now he’s barely seen
>Kylefags actually believe this
I will say I like Wally more than Barry
Because it gives an excuse to bitch about stuff.
If only there was some gimmick Kyle could have gotten to make him distinct from other GLs, maybe a power-up or a different role
Shame that never happened though, because readers would be annoyed he's not 'muh only GL' anymore and dunk on writers who would do something different
>maybe a power-up
He's canonically the most powerful human green lantern by a landslide, his constructs are powerful enough to hold Ultrama for several hours, he's able to control all the rings at the same time even though it would fuck up any other lantern instantly. Making him even stronger is simply crazy.
Cartoon only board?
it will be a board for LGBT cartoons only
>He's canonically the most powerful human green lantern by a landslide
Even in his own book, they fellated Hal as the strongest nigga.
Kyle being space Jesus was a fun concept when he was channeling all the rings but it requires a good writer to write weird sci-fi stories around the concept and unfortunately that didn't happen.
I mean, can you blame us?
I liked White Lantern Kyle
Only one I feel is off limits is Bruce Wayne desu. Any replacement he has might as well just fucking put on another mask due to how ridiculous Bruce is. It's more believable Superman gets replaced by some other Kryptonian that is a nice person and people will accept it.
>becomes god
>does nothing
It just doesn't work for him. He's better as a regular GL.
Honestly, as many as there are that want change and accept new characters, there are 3x as many people that reject the change. Plus, you have new writers and artists that want to put their spin on the characters they grew up with. That's why Bruce Wayne always becomes Batman time and time again. That's why Peter Parker always returns to being Spider-man.
Either you learn to accept this or you read other comics.
They will eventually be bought out, then I expect more pulp and more adventure.
I don't much about DC, but how come it is so difficult for them to accept characters like Wally or Kyle? Barry and Hal aren't the first, either. How come they get to be super important instead of Jay and Alan?
They'll "change" the same way they did with all their scam reboots, four issues of change of pace when you can actually go as far as saying the material is actually almost mediocre and then back to the usual garbage.
With Dan Dildo fired we might actually move forward.
Don't worry, DC's movies will die soon
Literally because it's easier to write a movie about Barry and Hal. Dildo even admitted it
Barry > Wally
Kyle > Guy > Jessica > Hal > John > Simon
Objectively wrong/ you don't read comics
Wally>Bart (Impulse)>Jay> Danica>Barry
>A problem with the Wally West Flash because his origin is too tied to predecessor Barry Allen
Piece of shit that he is, he’s not wrong.
t. HEATfag
The original script for a Wally movie was pretty simple.
>Have Barry be in intro and lose to RF
>Wally get's powers
>Get's thrown into the speed force near the end of the movie
>Sees Barry
>They have a heart to heart
>Barry gives his speed to Wally so he can escape
>Wally defeats RF
Not very complicated. Viewers can comprehend the idea of a previous mentor/hero. That's like saying MHA is too hard because Decu isn't the first character with All For One
