Snyder explains what’s terrifying about the new Robin King

>There seems to be one Robin that the Batman Who Laughs values above all others and leaves in a position of power when he's gone. Through preview artwork, it seems like this Robin King is set to take his place, seemingly as the heir to his throne lording over the ruins of the DC Metalverse.
>Snyder describes the most horrifying aspect of the Batman Who Laughs is that he's a once heroic figure who "is now wholly evil… and the horror of that transition being so final and deadly is what makes him so scary. He’s Batman gone evil at the peak of his career." But for the Robin King, there was no such transition.
>He's just a child who has been consumed by his darker side. This version of Robin never had to be broken by the Joker to become a monster, and he came fully formed to the Batman Who Laughs. He's described as having spent his young life dreaming of ways to kill the heroes of his reality, even ending up with a utility belt that is likely full of dangerous and destructive weapons. He's clearly a more brilliant Robin than most of the others, and he seems to have his own plans to deal with DC's heroes.
>And as Snyder says, "The Robin King is evil in the way the Batman Who Laughs is, but he’s almost scarier to me because he was always that way; he’s never been anything else."

I enjoyed Metal, but this should have stopped a long time ago. I may have enjoyed Snyder’s Batman, but he’s just a nuisance at this point. I don’t have any idea why DC is even keeping him on. His shit may appeal to normallfags but they don’t read comics. So I ask again, why is he still working for DC?

since Snyder is obsessed with magic and dark history. Shouldn’t it be more wise to put him on JL:DARK or even Green Lantern Corp alongside Morrison.

Pls don't let Snyder ruin DC's magic side anymore than it's already been ruined

Damian ?

wow it's so scary and edgy I'm literally shitting myself

I don't understand characters who are evil for the sake of evil. Say even, a man who steals to feed himself, he's building himself. But to destroy for the sake of destruction? I could see a teenager doing that. But teenagers are rarely malicious to the point of evil - its entertainment to them. Maybe that's the point - Robin King is part of the Dark Multiverse and it's seeped into him. He's a part of it. I really don't know.

If they're so evil, they'd be naked. Dude looks like a leprechaun.

Who is he supposed to be? Damian?

From what Snyder said it doesn't sound like Damian, but this design is definitely inspired by Damian's suit in my opinion, so maybe in the end it is a version of him?

what's the correlation between evil and naked

Can Snyder just fuck off already?

the art does look good, shame the premise sounds retarded

I'm actually interested on what Snyder has been doing but this Robin King just seems so boring and lame

>the horror of transitioning being so final and deadly is what makes it so scary

so an edge school shooter?

Show, don't tell dumbass

I'd say sounds like Kid Karnevil. But it would require someone to remember he exists and actually want to use him.

I hate that little turd.

Can't wait for some character to state this same shit in dialogue in the upcoming issue.

I don't get why anyone care about Snyders trash. And this whole metal-thing is the worst he done to my knowledge.
I actually get annoyed that people buy so shitty comics.

If he has to explain what makes him terrifying is he terrifying

How did Snyder get an career at DC to begin with? Has he done anything that motivated that?

so the main villian of a dc crossover is just an edgy child?

Like Scott Snyder?

I bet he watch rick and morty and wanted an evil morty

Remember when Batman Who Keks was just a shits-n-giggles comic?
