eh, everysites become more boring and sterile, where every joke needs a paragraph length explanation if its even slightly off color. i hate this place with a firey passion for a number of reasons but at least I can call somebody a raging faggot off thier meds and not have to give a trite apology for it and explain that i dont actually hate gay people or people with dysfunctions that require meds.

The problem with twitter isnt so much the echo chamber as much as it is a pissing contest to see who could be the smuggest piece of shit while correcting somebody on a given topic, that and kpop fancams.
Tumblrs issue right now is not being able to understand that some people just have a higher threshold for edgy behavior and that not everything needs to be shamed to oblivion, especially fandom shit.

Been here for more than a decade, it honestly feels like the rest of the site leaned right due to culture war bullshit while Zig Forums remained more or less the same.

Sorta. Tumblr is dead, but we absorbed some of their refugees. Now it's Zig Forumsmbler, with twitter being the new tumblr, just more effective.

Zig Forums is a reflection of the content being produced currently. Comics, cartoons are degrading fast in quality and appeal so of course its going to show in a majority of the people who invest in it. Even more so with social media and containment sites like Tumblr going under. Nobody here also makes a conscious effort to shut down or gatekeep the tourists its why a vast majority of this site now are people post 2016 election. Were fucked.

The only real issue this board has is that nobody reads anything anymore, unless it's spoonfed i.e. being storytimed for them, and majority of the discussion is simply about whining about how everything sucks.

I remember when this board used to make jokes and have fun. You had discussions outside of certain general threads. These days it's mostly just crying about how everything is wrong because X, Y and Z identity politics buzz word. Zig Forums has basically become the epitome of entitled boomers who harp about how everything was better [insert the year when the person was reading comics and cartoons as a teen] years ago.

Also, OP, if you think there's a problem with this board, maybe make better quality threads and try to get people to post in them.
