I know in comics character stats can fall all over the place, but in general, how tough is a single Parademon meant to be?
How strong is a single Parademon?
They are fodder that Batman can take out unless the plot needs them to rape all the superheroes to death then they are strong as they need to be.
So an average Parademon is on par with one of Penguin’s random hired goons? Darkseid spends a lot of resources into creating them -each one undergo is brainwashing and they are wearing advanced technology. Why isn’t Darkseid disappointed in the result? I get that the whole point of Parademons is to overwhelm the enemy with numbers, but what is the excuse for them being individually so shit? From what I’ve seen, Joker is a more capable fighter than the average Parademon.
They are similar to the alien army from Avengers 1(that are blatant parademons rip offs) they are stronger that regular humans but can hero can take a bunch of them down.
The alien army from Avengers 1 aren't really anything like the Parademons, both are generic alien mooks but they don't share any specifics with each other.
Because they aren't important to the plot and mostly just exist to be filler.
>The alien army from Avengers 1 aren't really anything like the Parademons
They are identical, both are cannon fodder brute monsters that would rather roar than talk, both act like mindless brutes and are completelly loyal to their masters, both are not able to defeat even regular heroes when alone but their numbers give them victory, both show up through portals etc.
didn't these look more like the annihilation wave?
Chitauri are armoured dudes with guns supported by giant flying armoured snake-robots.
Parademons are just hordes of winged assholes flying around that attack with claws.
The fact Thanos also made a giant worm does not change the fact the Chitauri are parademons rip offs just like Thanos is based on Darkseid and his Black Order is basically Darkseid Elite.
Not really, Batman had to grab a gun to escape one in Post- Crisis and had to actively avoid combat with the Parademons in New 52
You are being autistic, the reason they seem similar is because they are both so generic in terms of alien mooks that exist wholesale as scenery for fight scenes.
You're being childish by being flustered over someone pointing a blatant inspiration, comics are filled rip offs, a huge part of all mainstream heroes and teams are copies of other comic characters, it does not mean you can't enjoy their stories.
Darkseid wishes he had as much cultural relevance as thanos
All those "user I'm pregnant" threads with Supergirl had me thinking about this
What caliber handgun would a stay at home dad need to defend his half Kryptonian child from Parademons when moms away on a League assignment?
I didn't have the specific pic
The fact Thanos is a rip-off of Darkseid only makes Darkseid more relevant in comics.
... then why point out that they're "blatant rip offs?" That implies a negative opinion.
>>in comics
Exactly. Most people have no idea who Darkseid is. Only us comics nerds.
They're basically the DC equivalent to the putties from Power Rangers or the Shocker goons from Kamen Rider
Warner Brothers could have done something great with the films but failed
Thankfully we still have the original DCAU
Darkseid does not wish, darkseid is
Considering Darkseid's main rival is New Genesis, they seem to be on the whole dumber, weaker, and less useful than the average New Genesis soldier who is an armored cyber soldier with a laser spear and a flying badger.
Nah, they’re like the super putties
i never thought about this before, thanks.
from the last wb-dcau movie, a parademon mixed with doomsday can rip off the limbs of superheroes. and since people can't tell the difference from each iteration, you take the strongest moment for wonder woman, and then say this version of a parademon is stronger.
so without doomsday fused with it, i guess some are specific but wear the same to not have the "look at their costumes to see their ranks". so i guess an average parademon at most are just humans but with steroids and a bit stronger.
a higher rank can take on superman, and the doomsday parademons can rip off limbs from super powered people.
They dont really get much showcase aside from stragglers like the one in Secret Six which was at least as strong as juiced up Bane.
Strong enough to overwhelm Superman and kill him. But also weak enough that normal humans like Batman can defeat them.
This man tells the truth
Comics are irrelevant compare to the films. Just like virgin Darkseid is irrelevant compare to chad Thanos.
I'd love a comedic Parademon series showing their daily activities
well those were Chitauri, I cant recall if they were par of the wave or not.
The Annihilation Wave was capable of destroying intergalactic empires and overwhelming several Herald class beings. The Chitauri wished they were that capable.
