Been doing a lot of research. I'm trying to treat the first ten original matchups as a season which is why I haven't ran Jason vs Pyramid Head or Martian Manhunter vs Seven yet. I'm trying not to repeat characters and series back to back.
The fight I'm putting the last touches on right now is...a little obscure, but the theme is solid.
After this, the next five are planned to be:
6.Thundarr the Barbarian vs Crystalis hero
7.Earth vs the Flying saucers vs War of the Worlds (Army Fight)
8.Skeleton Warriors vs Mummies Alive (4 v 4)
9. Enterprise vs Yamato (Spaceship Fight)
10. Butcher vs Stain season finale
I might sub out 8 though because one series is surprisingly long. But by god, I have to do it.

I would be doing that, but Yamoto vs Enterprise was just too fun not to do first. Kirk absolutely destroys Han though. Han never beat a 10X human in hand to hand. Kirk did.

Which is why I started Spinal vs Dan, Brook is technically more thematic for Spinal since they are both pirate skeletons with soul powers but Dan is probably a closer fight so that would be my first choice for a bone battle.

The next one looks kind of lame if I'm being honest. I get that the theme is "sentient cars" but aside from Herbie, they feel a bit like wastes or a meme in Lightning's case. Optimus should be saved for a "transforming vehicle" race, and Thomas should race other trains Trailmon/Polar Express/Hogwarts Express. If they are really looking for sentient cars with interesting abilities for a race, Christine or Speed Buggy could have been fun choices you wouldn't be able to see anywhere else.

The last death race was mean spirited as fuck. I guess realizing that Trump is going to crush Biden has really soured Swan's mood. He didn't even try to write the Batmen as anything but psychopaths.
I fully expect Swan to be a mean little cunt again in this one.

I got to say, Thundarr might very well be my favorite cartoon of the eighties. It holds up really well. The three main characters play off each other well and Thundarr is the quintessential barbarian hero. Everything he says and does is with maximum intensity. He doesn't just have one battle cry, he has several. That's how intense he is.
