Did he start a domino effect, or do you think we’d still be in the same position now if he’d never made his movie?

It was his only 5 minutes of fame. He is not known for his writing, or his comedy, or anything he ever did for himeslf. He is only known as the guy that bitched about Simpsons.

Either way, he's based for how much butthurt he causes sneedfags

Same position. Apu was already discarded 2 years before the documentary. Both sides of the argument on twitter ignored that Apu was already cancelled and only used examples from the old seasons. The Simpsons is that irrelevant nowadays

Pretty sure he said he regrets making this

Nah, this was all planned. If he didn't do it, someone else would have.

>complains about Apu being a stereotype
>looks exactly like him
What the fuck did he mean by this?

>that scene where everyone talks about their childhood and how kids kept making apu jokes and wanting them to talk like apu
>as if kids won't find anything to tease each other over
If I was in that room I would've shut them all down. They got off easy.

Latter.
The BLM riots are what caused the VA changes.
No one even remembers this documentary.

No, it was a choreographed attack. We still have Mexican bee dude, Groundskeeper Willie, the Pirate, Carl, the Tyson clone, the gay music teacher, I can go on all day but you should understand.

This guy succesfully riled up the right people to fucking kill off someone with good writing.

Which makes me wonder: Carl is voiced by a white guy, why ain't they picking on him?

They did, he's not being voiced by his VA anymore.

Oh well shit. I don't watch this show anymore lately to be honest.
Did they kill anyone else off aside from those two?

Might as well whitewash the show at this point if they're going this direction.

The slippery slope would had never gotten as bad as it currently gotten if Fox/Simpsons never bend the knee and cancelled Apu, a successful small business owner and loving father.

There is no problem with Apoo. Most of the indians in america are rich pedophiles who do corrupt things.

Watch out, I was banned for a week because of that exact post.

One of the worst docs I ever watched, the guy was just a vulture who used an already irrelevant IP and a proper political climate to gain some notoriety he coudn´t earn by his own merits.

Wasn't it also an indian who got clone high cancelled because he complained abut gandhi? If this indian didn't fuck things up another one would.

Source?

The solution is clearly not to have indians in your cartoons.

Latter, the Simps is irrelevant these days and Apu was a rarely used character even before this documentary like most of their older side characters

Nah, I knew him before that. He's been known for a minute outside of cracker circles

>One of the worst docs I ever watched
It was also irrelevant because Simpsons had their own internal debate about Apu and opted to stop using him for three years. It wasn't a very good "history lesson" on Indian representation in Hollywood because it focused too much on Apu. It was some dude's autobiography on what it felt like it be bullied as an Indian kid and he indirectly blames Apu for that. It's closer to a 90 minute diary entry than a documentary.

And what was the intention? To push Hollywood to use only minorities for minority roles? Well, wish granted. Now studio crews will only hire a brown person if they have a brown character. Because I'm sure that's what voice actors wanted, not to eliminate nepotism and celebrity hiring, but to match people's skin color.

Hey, should Valve redub all his lines with a black dude, since this is basically a voice actor doing blackface, right?

Honestly, as much as I can't stand them, Valve did the right thing not even touching the whole BLM thing. Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sega and Capcom all did and it just came off as disingenuous as fuck.

it upsets me that phil lamarr turned out to be a cunt

That's because Valve's HQ is built on an Indian burial ground where time reacts differently in the building. They're probably not even aware of BLM protests and will finally tweet out the hashtag sometime in 2025.

Wasn't he just defending his work and telling people to leave him out of it?

>guy calmly points out that how popular minority characters are portrayed can affect how people in the real world perceive and treat that minority
>internet flips its shit gamergate style at having to analyse the impact of popular media for once in their lives.
>by doing this, they bring way more attention to it than it otherwise would have gotten

Don't forget Disney Junior!

>guy calmly points out
There was 10 minutes of cutting to his friends all bitching about Apu and how kids used to bully them with Apu quotes. One guy said he'd rather be called Kumar than Apu. Just because they weren't screaming doesn't mean they weren't angry. It was just a roast without the goodhearted nature of the guy actually being there, they didn't even contact Apu's VA for the documentary.

Fucking kek

>That view disparity
Lmao

>its another poo fragility episode.
say.... WHAAAAT?

Can't wait for all dubs to get canceled. Subs only!
