I don't know anybody in this image beyond Spawn and Savage Dragon.
If it looks and feels like it did in the 1990s, this would be a good thing. If it's a sanitized Current Year modernization of these characters, that's a terrible idea nobody will want to see.
You know since the incident with Rob Lyfield, Spawn ate shit right?
That entire storyline where he was literally God and he sealed the real God and Satan on a now-destroyed earth was all a lie. Retconned the fuck outta here while God is apparently a peaceful entity and Satan is still running the show I guess.
By the way, that grandpa who's been teaching him the whole time? After Spawn defeated Satan, he manipulated Spawn and now he's the king of Hell, basically he went evil. And he killed some magic bitch who was Spawn's other friend.
Let's not forget, whatever they're gonna do now with the show, they better just make a fucking ending so we don't get strung along with another Superman-level Reboot, feating his origins and deaths yet again, or god forbid a Berserk where they retell the story of the Hawks for the billionth fucking time.
We need to see him conquer Hell and Heaven on the big screen with a new Cogliostro VA, because he's dead now. That's how old this shit is.
I think one of the strengths of the Image superheroes is that there is NOT an Image Comics Universe, and that trying to make a cohesive canon out of characters owned by a dozen different primadonna auteurs is just asking for a disaster
Really wished VS System 1.0 did a set with Image after their Essential Hellboy mini set.

Inclined to agree. I really like the artwork in the most recent Cyber Force series but the outfits are just generic crap.
Who are the 2 chicks next to & above Rip Claw?
Thanks!
I liked Invincible but where do you go with the series? Even in a reboot it did every unconventional thing it could think of.
>turncoat old Superman
>World domination for a better place
>Hero working with the bad guy for better place
>Futa hero giving birth to a child and becoming a dad
>Main hero getting raped
>Main hero saying fuck this shit and accepting murder
>Main hero ruling the galaxy
>Best friend who loves being flown and turns out to be gay
There used to be one universe when they started out but it wasn't cohesive due to every creator just doing what they wanted without any kind of supervision. And than Liefeld and Lee left, taking their toys with them and after that they stopped pretending.
It would be interesting to say the least. It can't be worse than anything Marvel is doing at the moment.
They had a universe?
The redhead with the cape is Ultra from the Luna Brothers' comic. Dunno about the ghost-looking one.
It's not going to save their dying sales.
Top Cow specially went full on "let's destroy anything we had that's worthwhile". Witchblade and CF were completely neutered. It's to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if one of their suits was just trying to attract and fuck woke young women.
There never was a Image Universe
Didnt they turn the Magdalena into a boy? literally what the fuck
Sans Youngblood and Supreme. And why is Frank there?
Are Top Cow & Aspen their own companies or are they subsidiaries of Image?
They went full on spergout on the woke shit and it failed spectacularly. Serves em right in all honesty they came up on cakeshit ("cake" being intentional) and now want to turn their noses up at it. Pathetic.
"Subsidiaries" but it goes back to image being a conglomerate of creators. The individual labels, maybe a more or less appropriate term depending how you define it, are more of IP rights groupings and thus editorial groups to align with those goals and objectives rather than an over-arching heavy hand.
It's interesting in the sense that it never fit together despite attempts. Also interesting that Shattered Image was a real thing where their shared universe ceased to exist because Liefeld got kicked out.
I'm not sure I'd say that. Invincible was pretty good for most of it's run and that only ended recently. Stylistically it was on-par with other "modern" comics you'd see from Marvel/DC.
That's not to say that it shouldn't maintain a style and culture to make it stand out, but sticking to just one particular style would significantly limit the potential of the stories it could tell/characters it could make/etc.

Retard. See:
Aspen has nothing to do with Image besides that it was created by a former Top Cow/Image artist.
However, Top Cow is Marc Silvestri's Image imprint.
This one right here, but written by someone who isn't Erik Larsen.
I see Witchblade
Silverstri left Image to make Top Cow a true independent fot a hot minute, but I think it's back now?
That was for like one minute in the 90's. It's been back for ages, my dude.
Didn't care enough to look up if aspen was or wasn't part of it. Otherwise I was correct. Thanks for the clarification.
