I don't know about you, but I'm laughing my ass off.

It does make me think, will there ever be a day where cable channels go off the air and their content goes on the companies streaming services?
They all will before 2030.
Honestly, that might not be a bad thing.
Damn right
Cartoon network has been megacucked by all these shitty steven universe clones for years, so Im not surprised.
i think cable will keep on existing, all that infrastructure isnt going away
maybe itll just go ultra-local. community channels, channels run by local schools and churches, public-access type stuff
after all, AM radio still exists despite being outmoded decades ago
Max is cheaper than paying for cable to have CN so the sooner CN and AS go under and get absorbed into a streaming service the better.
user, the last thing I want to see on tv is those shitty public access christian channels that blast bible propaganda 24/7. Member when Evangelicals kept pushing nerdshit like pokemon and Doom as the creations of satan? Fuck that. But if Bibleman is on then hell yeah Im watching that.
Churches are the only private entities that can dump money into local broadcasting.
let's you n me go 50/50 on a local station and make the kinda shows you'd see on [adult swim], or the movie UHF
Hell yeah bish
After what they did to DC Nation and various shows they never gave a chance, I'm perfectly fine with this. CN only cares about stuffing their schedule with cheap shows they can rerun until the end of time.
New teen titans were pretty good, hell if it werent for teen titans go it probably would have been a springboard for season 6.
It's already happening to Disney Channel, it'll take around half a decade until it causes the US channels to go to the wayside
When will Conan the Librarian debut?
day 1
we give the public what it needs
I doubt cable will ever go away. Just think about this, what would happen if streaming fails entirely? If cable ceased to exist, various shows and forms of media would have almost nowhere to go, it still has to exist somehow as a failsafe just in case IF streaming does end up being a fad.
Streaming can't die. Even if a service fails, the content will end up on another service else or vaulted indefinitely.
>Vaulted indefinitely
That's the problem, there needs to be multiple options here
The content owner has no obligation to the public to release their show. Never has in the days of OTA broadcast, never will even in the age of the internet.
Zoomers dont watch TV (most households probably havent had cable in years), they stream everything. CN as a channel is dead.. streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max are the future.
>AS go under and get absorbed into a streaming service the better.
Adult Swim without the funny black-and-white bumpers and weird imagery would just be a bunch of shows put together.. its not the same. How would AS and Toonami work on a streaming service? They feel like they were meant to be a linear blocks.
i want more streaming services to offer curated linear streams
it's better this way, means it doesn't have to follow bullshit tv censorship guidelines.
now the problem is how much do I trust WB to not fucks thing up.
>means it doesn't have to follow bullshit tv censorship guidelines.
meanwhile they just yank gone with the wind and several ATHF episodes of their own accord to appease an imaginary mob
>curated linear streams
In an era of streaming and Youtube and Spotify and whatnot, where people get to pick exactly what they what to watch and when, I don't think that's something that anyone would want to pay for except you and me
my problem is once i have 5 billion choices in front of me i dont want to pick anything
Wait, what's happening? Is CN really dying?
that's on the companies. which is what I meant by WB fucking things up.
frankly I'm more outraged at the fact that anons choose to shit on them for removing the black shake episode than supporting Frylock's VA. last I heard he was destitute. the Zig Forums outrage crowd has no fucking priorities.
>will there ever be a day where cable channels go off the air
No, old people need to watch something
Internet infrastructure in the USA is also the pits to warrant complete streaming
>last I heard he was destitute.
i heard hes working in live theater
Is max original different from hbo max?
