I feel when the HBO executives said they were releasing an Edgy adult cartoon, it was edgy and adult back in 2012.
Seriously, I thought the little girl getting hurt during the skate stunt would have serious consequences and be a serious commentary on millennial parents still being adult babies despite reproducing.
They went to supernatural shit just like in regular show.
The show has potential but the pacing and fantasy elements need fixing.

They censored an up close shot of a shirt with a nude woman on it but the next shot is of the shirt smaller with more characters in the scene and despite still being clear they didn't censor it and what do you know, it was basic nudity but nothing bad was shown. They over pussified the censorship for this one show and I don't know why. TBS shows have shown far worse even recently.

It helps that Regular Show was one of the few kids cartoons that didn't have to have any kid characters. I think at the youngest it was Mordecai and Rigby in their early 20s, so it already had that going for it so there's less of a difference shifting focus to adults because RS was already an "adults problems" kinda show so there's not much room for change in focusing on ages.
