52 STORYTIME

The time has come, Zig Forums, to read one of, if not the best series DC ever produced: 52! Each issue details the events of one week in a year where Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman have gone missing, leaving the protection of Earth to the lesser known players in the DCU! With several interweaving storylines and a cast of dozens, 52 is a wild ride that you won't want to stop reading. So without further ado, let's begin!

52 does a pretty good job at filling the reader in on what's going on in the DCU at the time, but here's some context anyway:

>52 immediately follows Infinite Crisis, which resulted in Superman losing his powers, Batman and Robin going on sabbatical, and Wonder Woman laying low after footage of her snapping a man's neck was broadcast to the world

>Infinite Crisis also resulted in the deaths of the Blue Beetle and Superboy

>A bunch of other heroes have gone off into space to stop a major threat and have yet to return

That's pretty much everything you need to know. Now onto the main event!
