The first one was dumb as hell but it was also pretty fun. I'll get around to reading this eventually so here's hoping it's a ride

Comics are supposed to be whatever the writer or reader wants them to be, this one in specific is a silly one that you can turn your brain off too, there's other more highbrow comics out there for you to read.

This is a child's conception of good writing. I used to like Snyder, I really did, but ever since he was let loose on Justice league his whole model is "let me do the shit I thought was cool at 9 years old" but the problem is, nine year olds have no concept of structure, character development, overarching themes, etc. This book is just Snyder playing with his toys incoherently to anyone but him, with no real sense of plot, characterization, or urgency, and people are lapping up this dogshit like it's the second coming of Grant Morrison

I just enjoy the action, art and the character interactions

It's vapid, juvenile trash with no substance or quality writing pandering to the lowest possible dominator, which you apparently are a part of.

I probably read more novels per year than most people on this board do, amidst of reading a ton of comics and watching hundreds of movies.

Batkek is already a shitty character, giving him a power boost only makes him more obnoxious.
