There was some segment of the Wonder over Yonder fandom that pushed an insane girl to suicide on tumblr. Goddess-Mettaton if you're curious. I love that show and honestly consider it to be more of an example of how tumblr fostered utter insanity in all communities, but it does technically mean that the WoY fandom has a higher bodycount than SU.

Both were only watched for the waifus and lesbians, but She'ra's fanbase is still active and is being put on a higher pedestal for lesbian representation than SU was so maybe it won't be forgotten as fast. If it wasn't on Netflix it probably would have become a lot more well known since it was more action packed and had other things going for it.

I liked She Ra better as I felt it told a tighter story both have merits
Noelle claimed she wrote Adora like an overpowered D&D character who always got bad roles so probably Steven.
She Ra will stick with me more, others may have different experiences. She Ra dropping all at once on Netflix has probably had a complex effect on how it will be remembered/ built fandom. It feels like the Netflix effect may have helped She Ra have a larger international effect possibly? Don't know how international SU is really but I've been surprised by the reach of She Ra.
I don't interact with either fandom enough to know, I'm sure you can find examples of poor behavior from both.
Lockdown conditions probably heightened the impact of She Ra's positivity to me so it will stick with me personally. Other factors might make Steven more important to others?
