This was tough to get through. Did anyone actually enjoy this?

The smol bot was cute, but that's about it.
Looks like shitty trigun mixed with shitty cowboy bebop
How close am i
Black people am I right.
I think that ep where she met an identical model to herself and started questioning how much her "friends" value her was the closest it got to interesting, but even that fizzled.
Pretty on the money.
My god I tried so hard to enjoy this, but it didn't get past ep 9 It's not bad, just disappointing and somewhat aimless
Nar, the one thing i'll give Cannon Busters credit for is that its a completely sincere attempt from a non jap to make "anime". It's not pushing an agenda but its also not very entertaining or interesting.
What's with all the melanin enriched characters.
No gaijin will ever direct an anime. If that ever were the case, it wouldn't be anime.
Tekkon kinkreet?
Nothing, really.
They just live in some hot place for the most part and do not default to a caricature of Central European facial structure.
I thought the differentiation of various groups was pretty well executed.
I remember seeing the creator hype the show way back in 2013.
And then it just dropped 7 years later on Netflix with no publicity, no praise, no backlash just no reaction whatsoever.
It´s just sad
I think we are increasingly going to see creative influence from Western artists in Japanese media that will impact the sensibilities behind its production, themes and style.
The distinction will become increasingly meaningless as generations of Japanese grow up in fandoms of American shows and the other way around.
What do you think all the SU, Owl House, Amphibia etc. fans in Japan will be doing when they break into the industry? They'll seek cooperation with the likes of Sugar, Terrace, Hirsch and their ilk.
I actually did like it but it hearkens to an older style of anime that just isn’t very popular anymore and the progression of the character friendships was very uneven. It’s not great but I thought it was pretty enjoyable and I’m surprised it wasn’t better liked.
It wasn't the greatest but it was still enjoyable, it's a shame it's so ignored.
It have it's moments, I remember being hooked when the tattoo guy was hanged by the cannibals.
Can't agree tbqh. There are some cool, surface level ideas in there, but the show never dose anything with them. I kept zoning out while watching it and i really wanted to like this.
It's only sin is being boring.
Perfectly understandable.
I just like the concept of "he's hanged to be quartered but woops actually he's back and he's going to fuck up some retards"
The second half of the show just sorta falls apart, and I don't know why the creators rushed it the way they did. It lore-dumps a shit-ton of exposition two episodes before the finale in a show that didn't need to do it. It has nonsense character heel-turns like the prince with his robot RealDoll that don't go anywhere, and it gets too busy for no real reason. It should have ended 3 episodes earlier on a cliffhanger for a second season.
Then it was a perfectly successful attempt.
I love it.
I dropped it after one episode
It knows that better shows use the elements it steals but it doesn't know why.
Also that OP is embarrassingly bad.
The real doll dumbass is an artificial retard and it's not even funny
>What do you think all the SU, Owl House, Amphibia etc. fans in Japan will be doing when they break into the industry?
Slaving away working on the newest waifu bait show of the season?
This is probably the most accurate post. I wasn't really expecting the writing to be life changing, but goddamn, you have stuff like Cadillac that transforms into giant robotic bull and it didn't once do anything cool.
>I think we are increasingly going to see creative influence from Western artists in Japanese media that will impact the sensibilities behind its production, themes and style.
And that's a bad thing.
That robot is ugly as fuck and the rules behind how and when it transforms are stupid
>weeb knows that cowboy Bebop is cool
>So a copy will be cool too, right?
For a show with 7(?) years of development it's pretty shallow and terrible.
Kinda this.
>That robot is ugly as fuck
Nothing compared to whatever the maid bot transformed into in the last ep.
Small robot cute, the OP was cool. Fantasy bs was way unnecessary, should have stuck with minimum magic and more steampunk. And the demon lord or whatever was ugly as fuck.
kinda, every thing looks cool but executed poorly, also takes too long to get to anything good
this
I haven't watched the show but is there a reason you felt you HAD to get through it?
Like man, if you don't enjoy it move on, there's always more stuff to watch
I liked the intro, but the show is mediocre. I don't see it getting a second season.
>people like the intro
Why? The music doesn't sync up with the visuals at all
After watching this I started to worry more about independent funded projects. I feel like this shows the necessity producers because the some artists shouldn’t have unrestricted creative control over their projects.
The matches should've ended with one punch and brain damage.
