Spongebob was for the 2000s what the Simpsons was for the 90s

>Spongebob was for the 2000s what the Simpsons was for the 90s
So what 2010s show will be the one that everyone quotes forever?

Rick and Morty

Phineas and Ferb

Already forgotten

Unfortunately true. Rick and Morty had pretty much a Simpsons mania going on. Unfortunate it only had like 1 and a half good seasons.

>Zoomers actually believe this
Simpsons was good longer than SpongeBob you retarded zoomer.

Adventure Time

The Minature Equine Program

I think the show went to shit, but to say its forgotten is just disingenous. Except you only hang around here where you cant mention the show because its forever tainted by pickle Rick autism and deemed reddit tier. Which it might be, i dont give a fuck.

Eeeh, only by a few seasons. No reason to get fired up.

But the cultural impact is just as wide

True. Not perfect, but very iconic.

Spongebob only has 3 good seasons, Simpsons has 9-10.

Never compare those two again you brain dead Zoomerfaggot.

I thought so too but I went to my sister's house and there was a fucking Rick and Morty ad for pringles, during prime time. Fucking weird, did not think it had that kind of reach or appeal, even with it's popularity online.

>10
Really nigga?

Spongebob is the only thing that has even come CLOSE to reaching simpons level.

It depends on who you ask

No

I think Archer needs more love

Not enough kids watch it to have that much of an impact

Kill yourself Spongebob Zoomer

i'm right sorry

Adventure Time and Rick and Morty, especially the latter

The horsie show
The horsie show

You're not, it was only good for a brief period.

I have never heard anyone irl quote spongebob ever, and I hope I never do. the only one I see on the internet is the "is mayonnaise an instrument?" one.

You're nuts if you honestly think BoJack has the cultural clout Spongebob does, though I will grant it may end up being the most remembered animated series of the 2010's.

OP the honest answer to your question is that the media landscape is too splintered now for one piece of media to be completely dominant the way Spongebob and the Simpsons were during their peaks and it will never happen again.

Game of Thrones and Endgame were the last truly universal cultural milestones.

For the people who have partaken in the cartoon horse program, there's a lot of memorable moments but not a lot in the way of quotes other than just catchphrases
I can quote PONY.MOV more than the show itself

SpongeBob was good for a shorter period than Simpsons but it had as many quotable lines for Zoomers, so I think that's a point in SpongeBob's court.
Pretty much every episode of the first three seasons are quotable or otherwise meme material. There's plenty of "Golden Age Simpsons" episodes that have fallen by the wayside

It all happened because of one fucking pickle

You're probably right, it's the only show mentioned in this thread that gets memed as often as Sponge and Simp.

>Nobody mentioned Family Guy
It's literally one of the most influentual cartoons of all time
>Brickleberry
>Big Mouth
>Mr. Pickles
>Bordertown
>Crash Canyon
>Fugget About It
>Paradise PD
>Cleveland Show
None of these would exist without Family Guy. Don't sleep on it retards.

But its so bad and ugly

Can't believe this is still running, everyone dropped it around the cocaine season and now they just do the same jokes and plots but in weird fan fic settings. It feels like it's on auto pilot
>It's Archer but.....They're pirates, phrasing, drinking and shit snacks

bad things can be influential and like spongebob/simpsons there's a couple "good" seasons people will quote, even the shittier seasons have "quotable" lines

Teen titans go

Is FG big in America? Across Europe it's huge with teenagers

That show is nearly a decade old and still going, the day it gets canceled, we'll have TTG nostalgia

It kind of is. I think they got caught in the contract, so they're just making the most of it but seem ready to move on.
I loved Danger Island though

It’s big, but like spongebob, it’s mainly a 2000s show.
I’m talking about the 2010s, as in, the 2010s show people will be nostalgic over in the 2020s

Family guy is 00s though, not 10s. It's not nearly as relevant anymore.

I couldn't get through 2 episodes. They kept on jamming down our throats Cyril with his shitty accent and "I'm a macaw, not a parrot"

>It's literally one of the most influentual cartoons of all time
It's not by a long shot. It wouldn't even exist at all without direct influence from the Flintstones codifying what an animated sitcom looked like, and if you want to talk about direct industry impact Scooby Doo was such a hit that it completely changed the direction of TV animation for the entire 1970s.

FG is more of a 00's show

It's one of FOX's cash cows, they'll milk it alongside whatever Seth is working on.

>Muh Flintstones
It was a shitty the Honeymooners, by that logic, Simpsons is not influentual either.

This, but unironically
>tfw Rick and morty makes it to 11 seasons in 2030

I am aware that it ripped straight from the Honeymooners, but we're talking about cartoons here and it was the first cartoon sitcom like that. Simpsons was influential for different reasons but not as influential as the Flintstones which again inspired it. I didn't say that Family Guy wasn't influential, denying its impact on the world of adult animation would be retarded, it's just not "the most influential cartoon of all time."
