From what I understand, it's because of iron fist's problematic roots as a white savior stereotype. The idea that if a white person was dropped with no help and support into a foreign culture or circumstance, that they would automatically perform better at the duties of that culture than those who occupy it. I understand the argument that Danny is a subversion of this trope by being an outsider that has to prove himself, but the idea that Asians are good at martial arts is also a lazy stereotype, so there are problems all around.
