Does it even compare to The Simpsons?
Does it even compare to The Simpsons?
It's much better than the Simpsons.
Honestly, I never was able to get too into it. I watched all of it when it was airing originally (admittedly haven't seen post cancellation stuff) but it was always a show I watched before KotH, Simpsons, and Arrested Development came on rather than the major draw.
It also always got preempted by sports where I lived, which probably hurt my ability to grow as attached to it.
It's not, there is a reason why it died after 4 seasons.
>teen titans go episodes: 285
>Futurama episodes: 140
TT:GO twice as good as Futurama confirmed
>Simpsons continues due to its consistent high quality and inspired comedy.
Also merchandise and the fact that it's a huge cash cow.
It's better and had the decency to end.
They're both among the best cartoon shows at their peak.
>Simpsons has more episodes than Family Guy
>American Dad has more episodes than Futurama
Do you think Groening is pissed that one of Seth's shows outlived his?
Honestly I like Futurama at its worse better than Simpsons at its mediocre. It does have it’s problems (original run had too many Bender focused episodes in seasons 3-4, some running jokes like Hermes and “My manwich!” which felt too much like “Remember that?!” than authentic jokes) but even then it feels more consistent than the Simpsons when taken as a whole.
>Do you think Groening is pissed that one of Seth's shows outlived his?
Only applies if it outlives Cleveland Show
Been rewatching it. If you're a zoomer who wasn't sentient between 1999 and 2005 you're not going to get much out of it.
Peak Simpsons > Peak Futurama > Bad Futurama > Zombie Simpsons
>The Luck of the Fryrish
>Jurrassic Bark
>Worst than any Sneedsons episode
Is this shit cancelled?
How come Zig Forums ejaculates over mediocre shows like ATLA but questions whether fucking Futurama is any good?
Comparing Futurama and the Simpsons isn’t fair, because they’re 2 completely different shows. All they share is art style.
They’re both great.
I love this new "ATLA is mediocre and not the biggest cartoon of last decade" meme. It really helps with detecting zoomers.
>116373033
Luck of the Fryrish and Jurassic Bark were good episodes. I won't give (You) to a Zig Forumsntrarian.
>not the biggest cartoon of last decade
I love Avatar, but this is got to be ironic
I am honestly embarrassed by the avatar fanboys on Zig Forums
Futurama had better peaks, simpson were 90s Flintstone, it died when sitcoms died.
Less comfy. Somewhat more "adult".
That's called being a contrarian. The next step is making a "I used to like [thing] but then the evil meanie fanbase made me hate it" thread.
>Futurama
>Less comfy.
Get the fuck out
I blame Doug and the zoomers who watched him
Never reaches the Simpsons' highs but never comes close to Simpsons' lows.
I still remember watching the episode where Fry fights Zoidberg when it first aired. It legit traumatized me when Fry got his arm cut off, I didn't watch it again until I was 10
Classic Futurama > Classic Simpsons > Modern Futurama > dogshit > Modern Simpsons
>being traumatized by a silly cartoon
Baby
Yes, it's possible to compare them.
in quality, compared to the Simpsons before Cohen left, at times yes
(Simpsons after Cohen left is largely trash)
in scope, only Spongebob and South Park come close to Simpsons
I was 7 and I've never seen a main character get so violently and nonchalantly maimed before
That was because of Fox dicking around with its airtime
