The sequel series annoy me a lot with their wasted potential. There was no reason to retcon a lot of the earlier series and... they did it anyway? Why? Why are the knights now secretly an anti dragon cult? Why did Vilgax reset the universe? Why does Charmcaster and her uncle's personality's keep changing? Ah, I can forgive all that, what with it just being a cartoon, but the designs of the aliens, old and new, just get worse each time.

I heard the new showrunners didn't actually watch the os which would explain many inconsistencies because they only heard concepts brought up by Moa and reimagined it in their uncreative DC vision,Oh and there's alot of retcons and shaky continuities i can list of my head (reminder im only referring to the UAF era not ov since that series tries to follow the original more closely)

This first appeared in "vendetta" i fucking hated that new generic ass moustache twirling villain (a oneoff character but still) he existed only so the writers can give an excuse for DM shitty decision to redeem kevin in s1 after all the sociopathic deeds he committed in the previous series also this episode established that his father was apparently a pumbler who was a partner of max however this makes no sense because
1) Max was a Plumber for 27 years ["They Lurk Below"]
2) Judging by his appearance in the flashback in "Secrets", he was somewhere in his early forties when he defeated Vilgax
3) The Plumbers subsequently went defunct shortly after
4) His partner then was Phil
5) The photo Keith picks up in his house shows him at maybe five years of age with his father
Judging by these facts, we can establish that, for Devin to be Max's partner, it would have to have been when Max was in his twenties or thirties, thirty or forty years before the main series started. This raises a problem as Devin dies in the flashback, meaning that, unless Osmosians can reproduce from beyond the grave, Keith had to have been born at the very least forty years before the main series.

I can go on and on nitpicking about that episode but I'm only referring to the main retcons here i don't why people seethed when servanties was revealed to fake all of this in fact i liked how the rooter arc removed such confusions that alien force introduced it even reintroduced mutants to the franchise(Albeit it raises potholes like how did max not know kevin in os when that memory was apparently implanted or how servanties even faked an entire solar system)

AF and UA are just a total bore, but I actually like Omniverse. Maybe I'm the only one, but I feel like they realized some of the mistakes of the other sequels and tried to readjust the series to more match the style of the original while being something new, too. Also, the AF/UA artstyle is just awfully bland, like the show. I do, however, like the Omni designs. Everything has so much more character and lends itself to animation.

This,I still think the original is the best in anything the artstyle felt like a comicverse brought to life the aliens actually looked well Alien the sound desgin and ost were great and it does the "monster of the week" format so well its enjoyable from start to finish and I'm glad that omniverse despite all of its flaws recaptured the spirit of what made this franchise so soulful.

Those were very story driven,/universe building but dull, if i didn't have cable and nothing better to do at the time of their showing i never would of saw them but doing so made me enjoy Omniverse a lot because i understood all the past references and random characters. Ben is still a shithead but the surrounding universe and characters are decent.
