I have some insider info on the Netflix Avatar series

Let me tell you I dont' have much though

>The different countries won't be specific races, they will all be multiethnic.
>However Zuko will be black and Azula white. They're thinking of casting Michael B Jordan for the role of Zuko ig they can't find a younger actor
>They're looking for an Asian kid to play Aang.
>They haven't decided anything for Sokka and Katara yet.
>the Earth Kingdom will be mostly white, Dove Ceron's name came up as a possibility for Toph

There are some other trivial details but I know you guys were only interested in the casting.

I pray to God that this is bullshit the thought of Azula being biracial and of all things black will cause eternally seething for me.

In shocking development, Mark E. Plier cast for Cabbage Merchant

Sounds fake

not even good bait

keep working on it friend

>I have some insider info

My uncle at Nintendo says you don't.

This is retarded bait, but honestly that sorta the issue with making avatar live action they’re aren’t that many leading asain actors, let alone young ones. Like most audience wouldn’t give a shit if they made water tribe, black, Latino, insert x brown color because finding Inuit actors or even Native American actors and even more that are good enough for a lead role is unrealistic as shit. Toph would be easy because honestly she’s not that emotive of a character and is just sassy tomboy trope, same with zula, and zuko. They could find some South Koreans did them. But honestly I have no idea how they’d find aang

Clearly you've never been to Los Angeles. Everyone and their mother is trying to get into the film business there. Casting is more a matter of sorting through applications than going out to find someone. If they want to they can find Asian and Inuit actors, but casting agencies, directors, producers, the whole system really is kinda racist and has grown accustomed to hiring a group of whites with maybe one or two token minority side characters.

Maybe they will break the trend given how bad the reaction to Last Airbender was? No way to know for sure at this point.

>M Night dindu nuffin!
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
no, I don't buy it

(OP)

Any news for this too since it's also Netflix?

>Zuko will be black and Azula white
How the fuck does that work?

I feel like finding a bunch of relatively unknown Asian and Inuit actors and coasting by on wokeness seems like a more 2020 strategy than "let's cast a bunch of white people"

try harder, faggot

fant4stic where they say the white one is adopted

Nobody being white makes sense, but every tribe being a modern-style muticultural rainbow coalition would just take me right out of it.

That doesn't work unless Ozai is black and Zuko was such a pussy that Ozai searched the orphanages for the meanest cracker her could find.

Which is honestly kind of funny.

avatar being live action is dumb and I doubt most people want to see it.
Why does netflix keep adapting animated properties to live action? Have they not learned that taking an animated story and retelling it in live action doesn't add to it, but in fact takes away from it? Tell a new fucking story, not the same one from 10 years ago that we still clearly remember cause you just re-introduced it.

>>However Zuko will be black and Azula white. They're thinking of casting Michael B Jordan for the role of Zuko ig they can't find a younger actor
There's no way in hell. Nah. Post even a little bit of proof or fuck off.

>zuko black, azula white
>michael b jordan
>someone that pretty as toph
You're supposed to make it at least a little believable, retard.

Disney live action remakes say hello

Except them being full blood siblings is a really big part of the series. A bunch of stuff just doesn't work if one of them is adopted or they're only half.

Sounds like shit, and in character for Netflix. I believe it.

>Michael B Jordan for the role of Zuko
>33 year old Zuko
jesus christ, who's playing Iroh to old man Zuko?

> Dove Ceron's name came up as a possibility for Toph
lol, and a young cindy crawford as katara? bryke can't be this delusional

>Michael B Jordan
that's the only black person you know, isn't it, user

dumbest post ive ever read in my life , like bryan will make any characters white much less the entire earth kingdom after all the public masturbation he's done

Based.

>Michael B Jordan
Michael B Jordan is just a new more marketable Nick Canon.

its netflix man you know theyre that dumb

yep , this is what everyone said every time game of thrones leaks came out before every season, and then they all turned out to be accurate. imagine if this was actually true, jesus christ.

So fire kingdom are basically imperials

>They cant find a young black actor to play a guy called Zuko so their going to cast Michael B. Jordan.
>Doubt X
Imagining the young female actors playing Azula Ty-lee and Mai having to do the beach episode with just a decrepit Michael jordan slurring his speech is a very funny idea though
