it had a ton of problems, but I did like Starscream's gradual arc to genuine loyalty, Knockout's banter, and the Earth is really Unicron reveal. Especially how grossed out the latter was when he found out. It was also a different take attributing Megatron's bouts of incompetence to space cocaine born from the crytalized zombification blood of a cosmic horror.

He seemed to be Hot Rod in everything but name and color scheme, even that tease about him becoming a prime seemed like a reference to Rodimus.

I watched a few minutes when it got aired but it was lame because of stupid kids. I mean don't get me wrong, Miko is hot af, but somehow I just want to see robots (or robot girls) in Transformers. Or useful non-anoying human characters with actual functions.

It's a lot better than people on Zig Forums give it credit for, and I personally enjoyed it a whole lot more than most other TF shows. The characterization, dialogue, voice acting, and fight scenes were almost always consistently great.
HOWEVER, Beast Wars still remains the best written TF show made.

No, it's a boring show with really fucking dull characters (mainly the autobots) with shitty designs and shit pacing.
They add in ideas and throw them out constantly is obcessed with a status quo and "problems" gets solved in one episode.
It's also Peter Cullens worst performance, he is just a speech machine you put 10 cents in and get a canned speech.
Arcee is a shitty one note character which is "MUH PARTNERS" they never actually do anything worthwhile with it.
Bee is movie bee but worse
Bulkhead is Animated Bulkhead with every quirk and personality removed
Ratchet is carried by Jeffery Combs, and the other Autobots are not even worth talking about.
The kids are more one dimensional than the fucking Unicron Trilogy kids.
Only moments of fun or engagement is when the show is the cons sitcom,
Megatron is hillariously stupid yet everyone pretends he's some sort of genius.
Starscream is hillariously pathetic and his relationship with Knockout is fun.
Soundwave looks cool but doesn't actually do anything.
The other cons are fucking dull and usually killed off because they hired expensive celebs.
And yes, Hasbro did fuck with the show to sell toys, but the first season isn't good either, it's just dull and super unintresting.
Best TF cartoon is between Animated and Beast Wars, though Cyberverse is a lot better than everyone thought.
