Policemen are still popular and respected in Europe, or at least here in Germany and in Austria. Maybe in France they're considered pigs because they act like chimps and beat up people all the time, but German police are super chill and respectable
its almost like 5 minutes of independent thought and research about the restraint produced countless images of black officers using it on blacks and whites, and multiple policing forces around the world using it to restrain unruly suspects, which body cam footage ultimately showed was absolutely the case with Floyd.
If only they'd waited for the toxicology reports and the actual cam footage before they burnt their city down, maybe people wouldn't already be souring on the movement.

There’ll always be hate for cops on some level, but the amount of shit hitting the fan will definitely blow over with how people are realizing that police are actually needed.
The funny thing is that the concept of organized policing is a relatively recent thing, coming about in very different ways but in the US mostly through slave patrols and enforcers for wealthy businessmen.
While the need for law enforcement is a given, it maybe time to overthink how it is implemented.

Bruce trusts and respects the majority of the GCPD, he just doesn't work with them. Whenever there are corrupt cops he deals with them pretty quickly.
Nobody outside of marginal groups like anarchists say police need to be removed entirely. What exactly is objectionable about wanting cops to be held accountable for their actions so that they don't abuse their power and repeatedly get away with slap on the wrist when they harm and kill citizens who pose no immediate danger? I think one of the main problem is cops have too much on their plate that they are responsible for and not trained for at all, and those things don’t require people carrying guns who are trained to treat every person as planning to kill them. Moving police funding to social services designed to deal with those problems would help everybody involved, including the police.
Just because your occupation is a necessary function doesn't mean you have carte blanche to kill people on the street and craxk people's skulls because you are on a power trip.
