I think after everyone else has been pandered to, it’s about fucking time they pander to me.
We never got the e-mail war between Goodboy and Ms Marvel where Kamala complains that all the characters in her fanfic were drawn as furries, and Goodboy argues that it’s better that way. And I’m very disappointed.

I still won't be buying nor reading. The stories just aren't any good, it's still just shit that should've ended decades ago going through the motions to keep the thing going on and "relevant".

But I don't much like big corps testing the waters of getting in on the furry scene. The bright sides of the scene are inherently tied to the lack of large scale mainstream commercialisation.
The scene is producing its own products and art fully on the small scale, mostly even on the individual creator level, which some true variety within the genre; trends and standardized formulas, while popular, do not have as severe a stranglehold over them as it is with big boys who have brand image to worry about.
It also allows for much wider and unworksafe selection of subject matters to explore, which is the reason the scene is too "spicy" for big businesses to acknowledge and embrace in the first place.
Right now the spicy nature of the scene is what is keeping it somewhat safe and untouchable, but it will also be the first thing to go once the corporate take over eventually happens and the mass-produced brand-name fursuits hit the larger, safer, family-friendly consumer markets.
And soon after that people will be wishing they could have the sparkledogs back when compared to the even more dime-a-dozen stuff the new masters of the scene will be churning out.

Probably a comment on all of those furries whose fursonas are the opposite gender of what they are. Remember, if you see someone dressed up as furry chick, it’s most likely a guy.

I think that they’re about even on people dressing up like animals. But marvel does have various races of animal people like the cat people who have Tigra her powers, or the dinosaur people who live in the savage land, and then you’ve got the High Evolutionary with all of his animal people.

Mainstream + furries = Just more of the same ol'mainstream but with a new hat
