Why is Superman outdated?
Why is Superman outdated?
Being a good person is outdated
Cause it pushes the message that whites are the dominant race
Because Superman nowadays wouldn't want to be an American at all.
Did you still like Disney Hercules? Yes? Then he's not outdated. Disney Hercules used his entire archetype and everyone love it.
Dysney's Hercules was able also to make mistakes and grow as a person, everything Superman fans hate.
Perfection is boring
Why is OP obsessed? Seriously its every day with him, and his Supes hatred
Why do you keep making these threads? Where did Superman touch you?
A question, loaded with blanks
Superman isn't a good person, he upholds the status quo.
That's because normal Superman doesn't abuse his power to change what he has no authority or right to do. Fuck off with that nonsense.
His power is just as unearned as a Bezos' billions. If he is moral he has a responsibility to make the world a better place, and to think elseways is to be a soulless rule follower.
Cause superman is not a ass but he doesn't kiss ass either. Like people just want everybody to kiss their ass whether their doing is right or not. He is not gonna follow the agenda just cause.
Bezos could relinquish his fortune, Supes can't relinquish his powers, he didn't ask for any special circumstances and is under no moral obligation to do anything with them. He could fuck off to another planet like Manhattan if he wants to. But he doesn't, he decides to stay and help people as much as he can while infringing in everyone as little as possible. His morals may not be objective, don't pretend yours are either
He isn't compatible with Current Year and doesn't fit with the narratives pushed in the clown world. He isn't 'outdated' so much as an actual hero in a world that currently wants Tony Stark's and Batmen. Damaged people who often leave the world as shitty as when they started out, or worse, but can say 'at least I tried' on their tombstone.
Very few people want to made the world a better place anymore. They are filled with bitterness and rage at previous generations, and they don't have the promised flying cars and moon apartments yet, so the ideals that Superman stands for don't mean much to these broken and disenfranchised people.
Hell, just look at the uptick in evil and fallen versions of the characters in recent years.
This. He is going to defend the gay guy being bullied by thugs, or stop a case of police brutality, but he is more interested in talking to the perpetrators and showing them a better way than PUNCH NAZI NAOW. He might as well be committing the injustices himself from '''their''' point of view. Superman aspires to raise up and not tear down. 'Justice' today is looting, breaking shit, tarring those who disagree with you, and playing victim.
it didn't involved the devastation of metropolis for destruction porn sake
Superman is an oppressor than enforces the status quo with overwhelming force.
Superman should be more relevant than ever. In a time of increasing urban/rural divide, and cynicism about a fast-changing society, Clark Kent and Superman should be more popular and have more storylines than ever. The character has been mishandled and botched for too long.
Also I think we need a Man of Steel Returns. Something where a Superman returns and kicks Batman's ass so we can start a brand new era.
He’s a boring Gary Stu, nonsensically naive with unrealistic, communist-esque ideals.
Unearned? you make it sound like he wanted his powers in the first place. The whole world is practically cardboard to him. Now his responsibility to fix other peoples shit. Its just goodwill.
fuck off faggot youre the commi
based
>MUH WORLD IS AWFUL
Superman fans need to get their heads out of their asses. Everyone loves Captain America, Spider-Man, Ant-Man. Superman just isn’t entertaining.
No, I find him boring because every solo story has to be about his origins, his clark kent persona, his relationship with Lois. It's always the same shit for 80 years
You read All Star and you pretty much read every Superman book ever
ubermensch aren't relatable anymore
They once were?
He’s white and believes in the value to hard work and personal responsibility
hence anymore
