Black Widow is next, screencap this.

Didn't the scooby doo movie and Trolls movie go for like 15-20 bucks? Do they think folks are really gonna fork out 30 bucks for a movie?

>On Disney’s 3Q earnings call today, it was announced that Mulan is going to Disney+ on Sept. 24.

>Specifically, Mulan be releasing the film theatrically in certain markets where the studio currently has no announced launch plans for Disney+ and where theaters are open (i.e. China).

>CEO Bob Chepak said it was important to find new avenues of distribution during the pandemic and that in “in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, and number of countries, we will be offering on Disney+, the epic Mulan on a premiere access beginning Sept. 24, the price point being $29.99 in the U.S.”

The meltdown of the mouse continues.

>29.99 in addition to the fee for Disney+

Yeah, no.

They really think people are going to fork over 30 bucks for a movie nobody is particularly excited about?

>Do they think folks are really gonna fork out 30 bucks for a movie?
After seeing how Americucks have been btfo due to their own stupidity, would it really surprise you that they would fall for this?

> After seeing how Americucks have been btfo due to their own stupidity, would it really surprise you that they would fall for this?

LMAO exactly!!!!! that and apple. im 50% american i can say this

It’s from the shareholders meeting going on right now. Was announced there so press release should go out later today

?HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Sony and Universal both floated the $20.99 rental fee and things went okay.

Honestly more surprised they didn't do this with Black Widow and Eternals as like a package deal

There's not a doubt in my mind that's what they're going to do. Onward getting dumped on D+ for free was just a PR stunt, and this "free new movies" shit is going to come to a screeching halt after New Mutants.

>$29.99
Honestly, hearing what Sony and Universal did, that's a pretty steep price

>having to pay extra for content on a streaming service you already pay for

Is Disney the EA of the film industry?

Could this be the end of Disney Live-Actions?

30 bucks? I rather just spend that on something else.

Damn this poster looks so fucking cool. Frank Miller's Mulan.

So they did the exact same with Artemis Fowl and charged $0 for it? Mulan is $30? Why

$30 for fucking Mulan?

I mean I admit I would definitely do it for Tenet or Wonder Woman 1984 but a shitty Mulan remake that doesn't have songs or mushu? you can fuck off with that shit Disney

>I mean I admit I would definitely do it for Tenet or Wonder Woman 1984

This. Fuck Mulan.

does anyone know if the animated Mulan film is on Disney+

If you were going to pay to see either of those, you probably wouldn't have to pay for a subscription fee on top of that

Whoa! $10 more then the regular $20 VOD Price Tag? It will also cost an additional 30 dollars to rent on top of your Disney+ subscription by the way.

For anybody who's asking "why", read Disney's Third Quater Earnings report, then maybe you'd understand: thewaltdisneycompany.com/app/uploads/2020/08/q3-fy20-earnings.pdf

Unless they were HBO Max exclusive

Mulan was supposed to be Disney's grand gesture to get Chinabucks, while Artemis Fowl was dead the second the trailer came out.

the other thing to keep in mind: Amazon/iTunes/Cable take cut in VOD services.

This is $30 that goes directly to disney for profits. On a corporate level this is genius and has no fallout.

The absolute state of Amerimutt entertainment.
Who would watch that shit on a streaming site.

Here's hoping enough people actually pay to watch the movie, and don't watch other stuff on Disney+ that's free of extra charge and don't pirate the movie
