Initially i was shocked and angered with the whole Dr. Manhattan thing, but after reading this and learning that it was just a variation of Bruce that tried to replicate the energy that was left in the Watchmen's Button he found in his cave - a thing that happening in the Rebirth one-shot written by Johns and that Batman/The Flash cross-over written by Wiliamson - i don't mind the Bruce Wayne with Dr. Manhattan's powers anymore.

It was Bruce taking the button which had a spec of Manhattan's powers in it and replicating that power. And even after he managed to change his body he dies anyways. He doesn't do anything grand. He just dies.
I find it funny, because nobody complained about the actual Wally getting Manhattan's power while sitting on Metron's chair - which also had a spec of Manhattan's powers in it - and using said powers to change the universe's timeline.
Why is it okay with Wally do it, but suddenly not okay when an alternative version of Batman who died immediately does it?
