Do you recognize that some things you grew up with are actually terrible?
>I knew that was shit even as a kid, you were just a retard.
Like hell.

I actually enjoyed Butt Ugly Martians as a kid. I also loved Sagan’s Digimon dub and didn’t notice the awful jokes and editing until I got older.
For me it was Shark Tale.
I would always watch it once every week with my sister on our computer when I was 5.
I fucking LOVED Chicken Little mostly because I related to the protagonist
That is THE most numale thing you can do with any piece of fiction.
Shave your beard and buy some contacts, for fuck's sake. And close your mouth too.
I was fucking 9 when that movie came out you retard
Even as a kid I knew this movie was bad, welp... to be honest I noticed it was different from Hanna Barbera Tom and Jerry.
That movie is fucking awesome, but I don't remember droopy being in it
>I also loved Sagan’s Digimon dub and didn’t notice the awful jokes and editing until I got older.
i knew it was corny but i liked it anyway
He was briefly seen in the lab when all the animals got released from their cages.
The thing is that most of the later Disney afternoon shows were actually garbage, but I still watched them just because there wasn't anything else on. Looking back, I mostly grew up with cartoonish anime like Tom Sawyer, Anne, Zorro and stuff like that. Here's my list:
>What's with Andy
>Roswell Conspiracies
>MIB
>Slimer and the Ghostbusters
>Goofy & Max
>Bonkers
>House of Mouse
>Mighty Ducks
>Tom & Jerry in general
>Mummies Alive
>Extreme Dinosaurs
>The New Adventures of Ocean Girl
>The Flintstones
>The Watership Down cartoon series
>Xiaolin Showdown
>Teen Titans (eat it.)
>Michel Vaillant
>Donkey Kong
>Kangoos
>most cartoons on Nickelodeon
Stuff that I thankfully didn't watch because it was too shit for me even as a small kid:
>anything Scooby Doo related
>He-Man or She-Ra
>The Care Bears (and they said Spongebob makes you gay)
>Ben10
Garbage I watched because it got me hard:
>My Life Me
I highly recommend "The Animals of Farthing Wood" because its absolutely underrated.
I dunno, shit I watched as a kid was generally good. Stuff like Project Zeta and Mega Babies bored me to tears even then and 1987 TMNT is so bad it's good now, even if seemed like the ultimate cartoon back then.
I liked ALF: TAS, I guess. That genuinely wasn't very good in retrospect.
I grew up in the 90s and never bought any merch from anything except Star Wars and Jurassic Park.
I imagine collecting TMNT merch must have been the most money wasting hobby back then. I know someone who collected He-Man figures and I always wondered why someone would even buy those awful character designs.
Zeta Project is the one DCAU thing I won't ever bother with. Even Static Shock has some value but Zeta Project is the height of "how far can we push this?"
Don't know about terrible but now that I understand marketing I view Centurions a lot more cynically
I can't really think of them off the top of my head, but I know that as a kid there were quite a few shows that I knew were *objectively* worse than other shows, but I still liked them anyway for often silly reasons, like one particular character that I enjoyed seeing.
Even today I sometimes watch shitty B movies and think "wow this is so bad", but I watch and enjoy them anyway. Something doesn't have to be *objectively* good for you to like it, and there's nothing wrong with enjoying something that isn't *objectively* good.
>we've got to have money
>Do you recognize that some things you grew up with are actually terrible?
No, because I watched good things as a kid. Like one thing I was really into was the Disney Zorro TV show (reruns obv, I'm not that old). Other kids made fun of me for it and for watching something that "cheap" and "fake". Meanwhile they were watching shitty 90s action shows that nobody remembers now.
I think that's a copypasta answer user. Granted,i'm not 100 % sure but i think i already saw the same answer verbatim
I can relate with that feeling. When i was a teen,i unlocked the movie "Teenagers from Outer Space" in the bonus of "Destroy All Humans" and i enjoyed watching that little movie unironically. I genuiely enjoy low budget movies because i like to see how they depict things that require an higher budget with duct tape and paper plates (like in the aformentioned movie, they depict a ray gun by pointing a flashlight to the camera)

The themesong was fucking great though.
>TORCHA!
I think I knew Space Jam was always bad but I didn't comprehend why, because it had all the things I liked in it. Like my tiny child brain iwas like' but it has everything I like in it' 'but why am I not having fun'
>Shark Tale
That was a fun flick. It was neat to see the branch behind PoE and El Dorado try their hand at CG for the first time
It's really boring and forgettable, man.
I guess the female sidekick of the main character is the only thing I still remember about it.
Honestly if you wanna see the Japanese equivalent of the 1987 TMNT, watch the 1970’s Devilman. It’s campy as shit and I love it so much.
Word of advice when it comes to Shark Tale : Avoid any comparasions to Antz, Shrek or Madagascar. It was not made by the same team as those films. It wasn't even made in the same part of California
