>woof...

The original was funny. It ran with the joke that children could not restrain themselves, and would thoughtlessly beat the crap out of things if they had the power to do so.

>great art direction, intentionally stylized and simplified, gets very geometric in places, really good use of the more faded color theme evoking older cartoons too
>reusing sound libraries from the old Hanna-Barbera cartoons(PPG was the last HB cartoon ever) making a thematic bridge between the older cartoons for the oldfags to get in
>genuinely funny, never pulled its punches in introducing jokes for older audiences to get
>completely unashamed in its presentation, whether its about girly stuff or brutal violence, you can see both right in the trailer, setting a genuine and honest tone right from the start , using a loud and bombastic narrator etc.
>good characterization and story, never feeling the need to go into deepest lore but still provides links here and there to reward following it, but still can be watched in any order(until the movie tried to 2deep4u)
>while the episodes themselves are very consistent in their self-contained tone, there are several types of episodes and you will never know whether you will get a lighthearted comedy episode, an action packed episode, monsters getting mutilated or some deep shit like the Citiesville episode or the one where they travel to the future. As a kid you had no idea what to expect and that made episodes suspenseful, rather than formulaic.
>very recognizable main characters, very well crafted, simple designs, tonally distilled down too, easy to sell merch with

Basically, its what happens when you don't phone in and try to use the excuse "but its for kids!" to dumb things down.

Kids like violence

unironically deep

>kids like funny
>kids like violence
>kids show that is violent and funny is successful

woooooowwwww

Was it rebooted two or three times now? I know there was a reboot a few years back but I'm not sure if that's the current one with Bliss in it. That one was terribad. And the Japanese version. So one from years back, possibly the Bliss and the anime. Two or three.

when it comes to deep shit don't forget the episode where Townsville was rebuilding from all those battles

that reboot was a special

Which? I watched the original, an episode of whatever the fuck it was from a few years and half of an anime episode but not the one with Bliss. The anime and the ep I watched were both bad.

Yet when PAW Patrol and PJ Masks do the same things to get big Zig Forums shits on them.

Cause they look like fucking shit, the violence is gimped, the jokes are shit and the entire tone is much more stick in the "for kids" ghetto as opposed to PPG where right in the intro you have someone kicked so hard in the face that blood and teeth fly away

The current one isn't the first reboot. The PPGZ is not a reboot, it's just a anime version of PPG because PPG was massive in Japan. The "Dance Dance Special" was the failed reboot and the commonly called "nuPPG" is the current reboot.

Literally none of the PPG post the original had anything to do with McCracken.

Okay, so there's only one reboot, cuz the anime one is not a reboot and I never saw Dance Dance so idk wtf I saw so it's probably current reboot and it was terrible. Got it.

the original had soul

That musical episode with the fake Jack Black that was never aired in the US because CN thought a background character looked too much like Jesus

Extremely small character moments like this were really the icing on the cake

It had the creator the whole time.

Was Craig really around in the post movie episodes?

Maybe they should try being funny.

This site is STILL around.

Man, Boomer's name aged like fucking milk.

He was there for the entire run of the original.

Even the last season or two of the original show had nothing to do with McCracken.

It had heart. Thou did have some shit episodes.

Also a pretty colorful and memorable rogues gallery. OG PPG had lots of fun and iconic baddies.

Animation on that sequence makes me think it's a CN add rather than an episode.

Kids are cruel, Jack. And I’m very in touch with my inner child.

I unironically believe it's just from nostalgia.

It's one of the got milk? ads that were present in every franchise of the 90s

My favorites were the CN ads with the two black dudes.

Oh really? You mean the fabled "Zombie PPG" era? Huh, didn't know. I thought he stayed until the very end.

Then you’re retarded since I just watched the first 3 seasons of PPG for the first time a year ago and loved it

What the fuck did he mean by this
